The abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.

The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood.  I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.

Don't bother.  The clarification never comes.  The ignore prompter is better for your time management and mental health.

I am very thankful for your ability to ignore selected post that do not align with your own narrative.

Okay, I posted a link about college athletes and you shifted the convo to breastfeeding and and men exposing themselves to children. And Mike Tyson punching my daughter.
But you punching my daughter is the odd part.
oookay

It is absolutely odd. Tyson is a boxer, Rhonda Rousey is a MMA fighter.

Your daughter is some nurses daughter in which I never referenced.

In the context of what I was discussing, it's not about "men exposing themselfs to children" ( which has never happened right?) Besides, the issue is with transwomen not men in traditionally female intimate spaces. Unless of course you are refering to the transwomen in their biological sex.

If Trump put on some lipstick and a skirt and said he is now a transwomen, would you feel comfortable with him in the locker room with your daughter? Considering you brought her up?

please feel free to ask for "clarification" and tell me how "nonsensical " my post is. Only this time can you clarify why it's "nonsensical " instead of typing the word?

Blaming wokeness when California has one of the most highly skilled force of firefighters in the country seems a bit lame.

Kick them when they're down.  It's the MAGA way.

One of my coworkers said illegals started the fire.  I just can't.

In your post on Monday you posted "All sports bans like billiards and chess is ridiculous to not allow transpeople. However a transwoman who has the bone density and/or muscle mass of a biological male, even if on hormones in the boxing ring,  preparing to punch my daughter in the face, well I take major issue with that. "

I thought this was nonsensical, and I personalized it to say that I wouldn't want anyone to punch my daughter. Then you brought up Mike Tyson punching my daughter. Which would not happen, a) she doesn't box, b) she's not stupid.

There is much more to being a transperson than donning lipstick and a skirt. And the reasons are much more complex than to be able to sneak into a changing room. I suspect you know that, but choose to focus on the possibility of indecent exposure.

Donald Trump Jr.’s Ridiculous Greenland Trip Just Took a Dark Turn

It appears the whole thing was staged.

Quote

Danish media reported Thursday that a series of photos featuring Kirk and Greenlandic residents in MAGA hats was staged. The MAGA cohort reportedly rounded up homeless people from the area—including one person from under a bridge—promising them a meal at the Hotel Hans Egede in exchange for their participation in the pro-Trump photo circuit.

Videos of the trip that circulated on X describe the Greenlandic participants as "the local community in Nuuk,” but several local sources that spoke with Dr News described the photographed individuals as "homeless and socially disadvantaged" people who are often outside the supermarket directly across from the hotel where the Trump event was held.

And President-elect Stupidhead is at MaraLago telling republican governors that

Trump: "The people of Greenland would love to become a state of the United States of America. Now, Denmark maybe doesn't like it. But then we can't be too happy with Denmark and maybe things have to happen with respect to Denmark having to do with tariffs."

Even prior to this Greenlanders expressed they want to be their own country.  They don't want to he a state or part of Denmark.  They just are unable apparently to financially do it right now.

I'm sure MAGA Americans would love to financially support them when Americans need help.

They should put tarrifs on Ozembic which is enriching Denmark, (I'm sure the overweight Americans won't mind paying more), although they have agreed  to increase NATO spending which has long been a sore spot with the US.

Oh Denmark.  Won't you allow me to immigrate there?  They have one of the best medical systems in the world and I'd love to be an expat there!

P.S. No surprise with the staging in Greenland.  He does the same thing at his rallies.  Get a free t-shirt, hat and a sign...all made in China.

Yeah he put on Truth Social that "Newscum" was to blame for this and that. Not only continuing his Junior School bully nature with the name, but again with his "kick them while they're down" attitude.   Not sure if he offered any compassion or support for the hundreds of thousands affected.

It's not just the President-elect. Fox News and GOP politicians are piling on, too. In the mean time, firefighters are coming from other states and other countries to help.

Yep. I saw a clip of one of the Fox News hosts of "Five at Five" mocking the DIY hires in California not mentioning their experience.  He used a picture of three women (one of whom known to be queer with many years of experience and qualifications) that is circulating and he said "I hope they know what they are doing..." in a mocking way.  The "Libs of TikTok" apparently is circulating this photo as well as the leadership team as if it's a bad thing that women (one of whom is out of the closet queer) are the leadership team.  However, this is not true apparently 3 out of 12 leadership positions are women and the picture of from 2016 and these women are not in the top three positions.

A fire of this magnitude is such a perfect storm I imagine it would overwhelm any city.

I'm sure at the end of the day there will be some things to look at and criticize and things that are wrong and could have been done differently.  This is fair and what we do as a society is look for someone to lay blame on.  I'm seeing that here in the aftermath of back to back hurricanes here.  But to frame the criticism in false narratives to push an anti-woke agenda is a bit much.

You and @nursej22 missed the point.  It doesn't seem like either of you even read the article.

LA and in this case the fire department seem to have an agenda that encompasses some woke issues that seem detract from what their priorities should be.

I haven't seen Fox in a few days, so can't speak to that.

I have seen a lot garbage on social media.

After reading the article I mentioned above, I did check out the LAFD chief's bio.  While she does seem well qualified, (if you assume she legitimately climbed each rung of the ladder), guess what "qualifications" were mentioned first in a whole separate paragraph from what I'd consider her real qualifications?  Yep, first woman and first gay fire chief.

The fact that is somehow important is telling and is deserving to be mocked.
