QuoteThe abortion law builds on legislation passed in 2010 that represented a major shift for a traditionally Catholic country, transforming Spain into one of the most progressive countries in Europe on reproductive rights. Spain's constitutional court last week rejected a challenge by the right-wing Popular Party against allowing abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
The debate will be heated in Spain, I imagine, as the conservative opposition pushes back. My daughter had horrible menstrual pain during her adolescence and young adulthood. I'm certain that she would have benefitted from that time.
Again, the one theme about the post-election I keep hearing is inflation.
Quote"People are paying a lot more for groceries and rent and gasoline than they were a few years ago. So no matter what you did that was good," Zandi said, "it just gets drowned out by the reality of higher inflation."
There's also a theory that the infrastructure law wasn't ambitious enough.
"These investments are not producing the sorts of results that would get people excited," said Beth Osborne, the director of the non-profit Transportation For America, which recently released a report on the climate effects of the infrastructure law.

The Real Reason Trump Picked Mike Huckabee as Ambassador to Israel
Reality check for people not supporting Harris because the Gaza unrest.
He is correct when he says there is no such thing as a "Palestinian". There is no passport with Palestinian on it. Perhaps that passport should exist but do you want them as your neighbor? Especially after you've commited hundreds of acts of cruelty. That's the conondrum. Hike Huckebee is there simply to make more financial deals with the people who flew airplanes into the towers, the Pentagon and Pennsylvania. He's going to where the money is. He and his daughter are both connivers with Christian covers that can be seen through immediately.

Yes, it isn't pleasant BUT, what country has lower inflation? There may be a few isolated little self-sustaining islands but that's it. Everybody complains but no one has a solution because there AREN'T any that can be carried out by any one country. Especially now, we will be able to get along with no one since Trump is the actual anti-diplomat. I'll never forget the way he treated Merkle by refusing to shake her hand or look at her in the face.

Many countries governments, not just ours were undone by inflation.
I just hope that people understand that prices aren't going to be lowered. Inflation may stop the double digit speed in which is rises but prices ain't going back to what they were four years ago...ever.

Trump picks Brendan Carr, who laid out agenda in Project 2025, as FCC chairman
QuotePresident-elect Donald Trump said Sunday he was naming Brendan Carr as the next Federal Communications Commission chairman, positioning the regulatory agency to do battle against social media companies and TV broadcasters that Republicans portray as too liberal.

Carr, 45, the senior Republican among the FCC's five commissioners, has vowed in recent days to take on what he called a "censorship cartel" including Facebook, Google, Apple and Microsoft. Earlier this year, he laid out an aggressive agenda for the FCC in Project 2025, a conservative proposal for Trump's second term developed by the Heritage Foundation. Carr has been a vocal supporter of billionaire Elon Musk and an advocate of tougher restrictions on China.
Still think Trump knows nothing about Project 2025?
Trump can't seem to find a Treasury Sec. loyal enough to buy into his hare-brained tariff scheme.

one possible candidate says the economy was great in 1890, but omits the reality of the depression in 1893. And any treasury candidate should have a fleeting knowledge of Smoot-Hawley.

What you and other Trump haters fail to realize is that what you define as "MAGA'S", anti-vaxxers and the like, aren't the majority who voted for Trump.

The Republican agenda does not sit well with the left. Same as the Biden agenda was rejected by the right. Portraying Trump as a victim seems a bit off. It politics. I certainly can't appreciate how ugly it's gotten the last 20 years.
Most of us want America to succeed. Trump said success will bring us together. As an American I don't want him to fail. But, I'll probably disagree with all he does. 😆
