Never....NEVER...cut a potato in half and use it as a pessary!

Anybody got anything to add?

lol, have you tried this?

Hi Nightnurse!

Tried which one? (None of us would admit to any of them anyway)

If you are admitted to a rehab facility for free, with the facility picking up the tab for the duration of your stay, due to all of the great referalls they get from that hospital, and you have no money to pay for any medical care, do not cuss out all of the staff who has treated you like a queen and demand to leave and hour after you get there because your private bathroom floor was still damp from mopping and there wasn't a free phone already installed in your room.

zoe if you see this I have not figured out yet how to reply to a specific message. I was talking about using a potato as a pessary

Instead of hitting the "post reply" on the bottom left of the screen, hit the "quote" button in the actual post you are replying to. It will automatically quote the entire message with the author's name, so we can all see who you're replying to. Try it on this message! :)

ROFL @ everything!! lol

Oh, gosh, I HOPE none of us have tried that! Holy moly! (Just remembering how old potatoes smell makes me gag!)

If you look at this post, there is a "quote" button you can click on, and it will copy the text of this post, so that we know which post you're referring to.

re the countdown, how's it going Gompers?

Being induced on Wednesday due to large baby and rising blood pressure. I'm absolutely terrified - not so much of the delivery, but because in a few days I'm going to be a parent! My husband and I have been in shock since I found out I was pregnant and I don't think it'll actually kick in until we actually HAVE the baby in our arms...

Thanks for asking! LOL!

{{{{{{{{{{Gompers}}}}}}}}}}} Well, at least you know when, and you won't suddenly find out it is a C-section right in the middle of the most, er, memorable moment of your life!

Seriously - I imagine the surgery is scary, but I sure do identify with the fear of being a parent - am I good enough, will I know what to do, will the kid like us (lol) ... Hey, if you are concerned about how you will do, that makes you a great parent! And yes, that is when it will kick in, when he is actually in your arms.

I remember late at night in the hospital, the lights dimmed. My son had been born in the wee hours, and during the course of the day, yes, I was in shock. But that night it was just him and I, and as I laid him on the bed in front of me, and looked into his face, I realized what love really really is... it is a true miracle ...
