Along the lines of the first thread, "Things you would love to say to your nursing instructors" I thought this would be a great thread to start. I've since graduated LVN but there was one main thing I wanted to say to some students in my class.

You dress like a hooker. I do not understand who taught you that gold stilettos were an OK thing to wear to class.
You NEED to wear clothes that fit you..coming to class with your gut and love handles hanging out is NASTY.
Hey you smokers...YOU STINK!! I KNOW you are addicted and it keeps you awake but you smell AWFUL and I hate it! I think I will start wearing EXTRA perfume and hopefully it will distract me from your nasty cloud.
Just because there is a guy in our class that does not mean he is interested in YOU. I know some of you random whores do not feel complete unless a guy is paying attention to you but seriously stop it.

I have not even started NS yet, will start in Aug 08 and I am LMAO at this thread...I know I may not be laughing so hard once it starts but it is good to know that I will have somewhere to vent! I will be back on this thread in August! Thanks to everyone who posted.

My fave are students who went through all the problems, heartache, etc...made it VERY clear that she would NOT be working at our current facility as a RN(she's a RT, and been there like 11 years)....went to the other hospital, complaining that "oh, everyone thought I was going to quit here, so they're forcing me out."
HELLO! WHEN YOU SAY "I'M NOT GOING TO WORK HERE", MOST PEOPLE TAKE YOU AT YOUR WORD....DON'T PLAY THE HONESTY GAME IF YOU DON'T WANNA WIN....It's just tough to bite the tongue after a while...I mean, mine probably looks like it's forked...
If you are terrified of patients, turn green at the sight of blood or a wound, and label most nursing tasks as disgusting... Why are you becoming a nurse?
I love this thread! I have been LMAO the entire time I have been reading. My friend and I start NS school on Monday, so this thread really brought smiles to our faces, and helped "de-stress" us a little bit. I can't wait to come back and do my own venting! (Although I have a bad habit of just telling people what I think...I will be that person telling all the talkers to hush!)
Don't forget to turn the test booklet in BEFORE you leave.(YES it did happen, and we were threatened with an incomplete for the semester until it was turned in and this was 2 days before the final. I was freaking out.)
I'd love to tell some former classmates from LPN school," Yes, you still are able to answer a call light!" " Yes, you may have to put someone on a bedpan." Frankly, if those types of people are not willing to do that for their patients, then why are they nurses?!
Stop whining about how bad the professor teaches and how unfair the exams are and open the textbook and read! This is college, professors do not spoon feed you the information!
