Along the lines of the first thread, "Things you would love to say to your nursing instructors" I thought this would be a great thread to start. I've since graduated LVN but there was one main thing I wanted to say to some students in my class.
Will you people in the back row please stop talking! I swear that today I can still hear their motormouths running! :chuckle
When I am in the RN bridge I will come back and post some more. I'm sure some of you have something to get off your chest. Come on and unload here! :)
My fave are students who went through all the problems, heartache, etc...made it VERY clear that she would NOT be working at our current facility as a RN(she's a RT, and been there like 11 years)....went to the other hospital, complaining that "oh, everyone thought I was going to quit here, so they're forcing me out."
HELLO! WHEN YOU SAY "I'M NOT GOING TO WORK HERE", MOST PEOPLE TAKE YOU AT YOUR WORD....DON'T PLAY THE HONESTY GAME IF YOU DON'T WANNA WIN....It's just tough to bite the tongue after a while...I mean, mine probably looks like it's forked...
I love this thread! I have been LMAO the entire time I have been reading. My friend and I start NS school on Monday, so this thread really brought smiles to our faces, and helped "de-stress" us a little bit. I can't wait to come back and do my own venting! (Although I have a bad habit of just telling people what I think...I will be that person telling all the talkers to hush!)
1). Shut up and listen during lecture.
2). Bring supplies for the tests. Asking for a pencil, calculator, etc. during every test is annoying. Come prepared!!
3). Stop freaking out and crying during tests and finals. It doesn't help and it makes other students upset.
4). Stop bad-mouthing the professors. It's your fault if you didn't get the grade that you wanted on your test or assignments.
5). You can't pass NS w/o studying!!!
6). Stop cheating!!! This is a big problem at my school and I would rather die than have these students take of me!!!!
7). This is college, not high school....grow up!
8). Don't ask me for help and then refuse to help me.
9). Quit making weird noises during lecture, lab, clinical, and everywhere else that we are gathered as students. It's distracting!!!
10). Treat others with respect.
11). Quit stealing study guides!!!! (yes, this happens at my school....it's pathetic).
12). If you disagree with a professor, ask to meet on your own time, don't discuss it during lecture.
That is all for now. This is a great thread and it was nice to vent a little. Good luck to everyone in their careers.
