Things you would love to say to your fellow nursing students!

Published

Along the lines of the first thread, "Things you would love to say to your nursing instructors" I thought this would be a great thread to start. I've since graduated LVN but there was one main thing I wanted to say to some students in my class.

Will you people in the back row please stop talking! I swear that today I can still hear their motormouths running! :chuckle

When I am in the RN bridge I will come back and post some more. I'm sure some of you have something to get off your chest. Come on and unload here! :)

Oops. Obviously I meant I DON'T I have the availability to go out celebrating every week (which is what this group of 5 or so did to the exclusion of all others).

i am proud to this day of my a in micro !! it is not my only a but it was a tough class for me. i worked hard for it. and with your busy life, you must have to work xtra hard for good grades. i also work ft- i understand what you're saying: ns is not your only life...i think to some kids it is. (i'm not a kid either)

Can people please stop hating on over achievers...I'm not saying that I'm the big over achiever, but people in my class have rude things to say about what people do on their own time, and how they get their work done early!

If that person wants to be productive and get their work done early, why do YOU care?

Just because its in the book and the teacher says something different because that's what's used in the clinical setting, don't get on the instructor because its not in the book, BuT it WILL BE ON THE TEST AS THE INSRUCTOR SAYS(hiny hint) Besides you're a STUDENT and have not been a nurse for years.

And can somebody please tell the people in the back to SHUT their TRAP, because I cannot hear the lecture.

how are you going to be a nurse when you are so fat that your arms can't reach the patient in front of you? i am overweight too, but i am not so fat that my arms can't get past my stomach.

This is and was meant to be a fun thread. We are also here to vent. In no way do our opinions here have any relation to what we will be like as nurses. We are going to post on here the worst possible things and maybe even give it more drama just to be able to get it out of our systems or to give ourselves and others a little laugh but this does not mean we cannot be good nurses.

I hope students continue to post here because that which we cannot say in class or in person can be safely said here many times over. :)

I agree that our rants and raves don't reflect nursing abilities! It's the attacking each other that personally bothers me. I felt I vented about something that really bothered me, with as you stated, a bit of exaggeration and drama. And I was attacked for having a 4.0. If I try to learn everything I possibly can about the material and as a result get an A, that doesn't mean I'm obsessed about a 4.0. This should be a SUPPORT board putting down other people's vents when they are exaggerating and being dramatic is not helpful to the support environment. I don't think people should attack someone cause they are venting just like everyone else.

Look, I feel that my post about the other vent, was just that....advice meant in a well-wishing manner from someone who has been there for the last 2 years and is now getting ready to pass NCLEX and starting a job. At no time did I feel that I was "attacking" you, for that perfect 4.0. That's great, if that's your priority. I simply wished to try to lend some perspective to the grind that is NS. If you felt attacked, I apoligize...that was NOT my intention. However, in the future, please take length of time that a poster has been on an.com with a grain of salt.....

Thanks Loco, I am kink of sensitive; something to work on. I'm sure now you didn't mean any harm.

To all My fellow nursing students

1. Ur uniform is not to be worn to make a fashion statement n accessories like chucky jewelry is no allowed in case in didn't know

2. STOP BEING SO ******* LAZY N DO AM CARE ON UR PATIENTS.......:nono:

I've only been in school 3 weeks and I can agree with so many of these posts...especially the ones that say SHUT UP DURING CLASS ALREADY!!! One I'd like to add is, if you're sitting with the same 4-5 students during lunch break every day and one of the group comes in and says, "Hey guys, do you think we're getting too clique-y?" you might want to make sure no one else is in the room before you answer, especially if your answer puts down the other 25 students in your class. The few of them within earshot will most likely remember this later, as will the nursing program director whose office door was open at the time.
