Holy crap the waiting is unbearable!!!! I'm dying here:bugeyes:!!!! Why do they take soooooo looooong?????? Acceptance letters go out next month (March) and I got a call yesterday from one of the nursing academic advisers who was reviewing my transcript, but I won't know anything till next month!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone hold me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lol2:

I haven't applied yet, because I can't until May, but I know exactly how you feel. I have been going to school since May of 2007 and I simply cannot wait to apply! Luckily the time between the application deadline and when the acceptance letters go out, is short (less than a month).

Good luck, try to stay sane while waiting. :)

I know! This is killing me. I started pre-reqs last January. So, I feel like I have been at this waiting FOREVER!! It is painful...

I feel your pain! I have to wait until early to mid april!

I "waited" through 3 application periods before finally getting accepted into a program. Its pure torture!

Hahahahahha!!!:D

Hang in there guys/gals, we'll get through this together! We're all in solidarity:up:. I'll try to keep my sanity, but I can't promise anything! Come next month, I'll be checking the mail with sweaty palms!!

Anyone know if good news only comes in a big envelope? In other words with extra forms to be filed out and extra information about the school that you've just been accepted into? If that's true, then I'll freak out if I see a small sized envelope:uhoh3:.

Or do they sometimes send a small envelope informing you of your acceptance and then later on send the large package?

Oh well... until then.... I'll try to stay :smokin:

At my school you get a big envelope no matter what because they mail you your acceptance letter plus more documents OR they mail your application portfolio back to you...

OR they mail your application portfolio back to you...

I know how you feel. There should be more nursing schools & instructers. The wait wouldn't be so long. Around here in PA, one could be on the waiting list for 2 years! You can be accepted up to one year before the program starts! Rediculous if you ask me. The nursing shortage is crazy! To think there were 7 area hospitals that discontinued their nursing programs in the early 90's when the demand was low. Now there are a ton of people who want to be nurses, and no one to teach them! Go figure.

I just recently applied to take the nursing entrance test. Wish me luck!

I am waiting impatiently as well, until APRIL!!!!!! It is killing me!

Good Luck. Hang in there.

I won't find out until late April or early May. It is getting tough.

...And this is why you apply to direct entry programs. I applied to Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY for the dual degree program with St. Joseph's School of Nursing. One application, and if you're accepted, you do your pre-reqs as a freshman then start nursing full time as a sophomore. I have an interview with them too, and should hear by March =D
