The Trump Thread

Published

I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can.  My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.

He's not going away.

Haberman's book is out based on interviews.  I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting.  Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with.  LOL

Quote

“At one point, Trump made a candid admission that was as jarring as it was ultimately unsurprising. ‘The question I get asked more than any other question: “If you had it to do again, would you have done it?”’Trump said of running for president. ‘The answer is, yeah, I think so. Because here’s the way I look at it. I have so many rich friends and nobody knows who they are.’ … Reflecting on the meaning of having been president of the United States, his first impulse was not to mention public service, or what he felt he’d accomplished, only that it appeared to be a vehicle for fame, and that many experiences were only worth having if someone else envied them.”

2nd, you could take a look at how this member that it was intended for  is able to articulate his/her opinion and possible distain for Trump without having to subtly insult the member they are replying to. Like adding words like "funny".

Which makes their option much more worthy of consideration.  You should take note.

Too bad half the country doesn't think he's "mentally unfit". Do you think that democrat narrative is going to dissuaded the votes tomorrow?

Don't worry tho, if Trump wins and becomes "unfit" his VP will be there to take on his presidential duties. Hopefully that make you feel better aboutyour  Trump phobia.

But I responded to the comment just like we all tend to do.

I'm sorry that you don't like the way I comment.

Correct, millions of Americans are in denial about the state of Trump's mental health and about his capacity as a leader.  Even after watching him fail spectacularly and try to overthrow our government, they still believe the propaganda that describes him as a strong leader and successful business man.

If Trump wins, P2025 will be quickly executed by Vance.  Trump has no policy plans beyond P2025.

First. This wasn't directed to ypu.

Oh is that so? I'm a woman, are you telling me how to interpret Trump's language?

I don't recall telling other women anything.

What I can tell you is that Harris manipulating the words to somehow link it to abortion is full on BS. It doesn't make sense. He "will do it even if they don't like it"? So he will force an abortion even if they don't like it? What?

Get real.

It was a stupid misogynist comment. Should have left it at that. Now all that has resulted is another blatant misrepresentation of word which doesn't do much for trust now does it?

Do you think this is one of the reasons so many people believe Trump? Might have to do with the constant misrepentation? You think? Or is half the country stupid brainwashed nazis

"Media apologist"? Loool  like who? CNN and MSNBC?

First, unless you make a comment here private they are fair game for anyone to remark on. Weird that you are confused by that at this stage.

Second, you can believe what you prefer about Trump and you can tell us how you explain away Trump's misogyny or racism or crazy talk but you can't tell us what we must think his words mean.

You don't think that Harris can make that association of Trump's words with Trump's historical action and then comment on like Trump future behavior?  What a bunch of malarkey.  That's how we make informed decisions about people.

One of the reasons so many people believe Trump is because they are indoctrinated by the media and voices they consume.

Media apologists, like Scott Jennings, or Sean Hannity.

P2025 is not Trump's plan or policy.

It's not propaganda when you live it in real life. Personal experience is far more powerful than any propaganda. This experience determind Trump as a leader.

It's seems far fetched that millions of people have been brainwashed and bedazzled by Trump. Especially considering his "cognitive decline and mental illness ".

Do you think that Trump won over any new Latino voters with his teams efforts? It sounds like lots of Latinos were impressed with Trump's recent garbage campaign.

You think Latino Trump voters are impressed with Biden calling them "garbage"?

They probably won't vote for Biden if they were bothered by that gaffe. Similarly, they won't likely vote for the guy who called the entire country a garbage can or hosted a garbage joke about Puerto Rico if they are bothered by that stuff. From the sounds of it, Puerto Ricans were pretty hot about the Trump rally joke and it motivated some celebrities to seem endorse Harris.

Interesting, huh?

Donald Trump has been told by some advisers that he should prematurely declare victory on election night if he's sufficiently ahead of Kamala Harris in key battleground states like Pennsylvania, according to people close to him, though whether he will heed that advice remains unclear.

The consensus view is that Trump has nothing to lose by claiming he has won if he has a several-hundred-thousand-vote advantage in Pennsylvania or if his internal pollsters think a victory is plausible even if the results are not fully confirmed on Tuesday night.

He has nothing to lose by lying about our elections.

I believe most people take the joke from the roast comedian as a joke. Even Putleto Ricans

Also he referred to the island as "garbage" not the people. It was Harris and the msm that associated it with the people that live there.

Celebrities like J-Low? That might backfire if it is found she was a active participant at diddy's "Freak offs". A new allegation sighting a female celebrity watch as he and another man sexually assaulted a 13 yr old.

You know because when nazis may or may not have voted for Trump makes everyone else who voted for Trump guilty by association?  This endorsement may prove to be damaging.

Samething right?

Looks like he's not losing right now.

"An array of world leaders also chimed in to congratulate Trump on X. French President Emmanuel Macron said on X, "Congratulations, President @realDonaldTrump . Ready to work together as we did for four years. With your convictions and mine. With respect and ambition. For more peace and prosperity."

****

Netanyahu, who is leading a seven-front existential war against Iran's regime and its proxies, wrote on X, "Dear Donald and Melania Trump, Congratulations on history's greatest comeback! Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America. This is a huge victory! In true friendship, yours, Benjamin and Sara Netanyahu.

"Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban wrote,"The biggest comeback in US political history! Congratulations to President @realDonaldTrump on his enormous win. A much needed victory for the World!"

"I appreciate President Trump's commitment to the 'peace through strength' approach in global affairs. This is exactly the principle that can practically bring just peace in Ukraine closer. I am hopeful that we will put it into action together. We look forward to an era of a strong United States of America under President Trump's decisive leadership. We rely on continued strong bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States."

World leaders do tend to congratulate the American President winner.  It was a stunning comeback.

No doubt Netanyahu is relieved.  Trump has asked him to end the war by the time he comes into office.

Also no surprise the Hungarian leader is a fan.

Most world leaders were always going to congratulate Donald Trump on his presidential win, as they did early Wednesday before he was even officially declared the victor.

Some — like right-wingers and populists in Israel, India, the Gulf and Europe — were gleeful. Many of America's traditional allies, meanwhile, hinted at their unease but also a pragmatic determination to make the best of their new reality: four more years of a man who has undermined Washington's friends and boosted its autocratic foes, attempted to overturn the 2020 election and denied basic climate science.

It seems Harris spent big money for the support of Oprah and others.

"Vice President Kamala Harris paid Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions $1 million, just one example of millions the campaign spent on various entertainers during the vice president's failed bid for president."
