I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.
He's not going away.
Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL
Quote“At one point, Trump made a candid admission that was as jarring as it was ultimately unsurprising. ‘The question I get asked more than any other question: “If you had it to do again, would you have done it?”’Trump said of running for president. ‘The answer is, yeah, I think so. Because here’s the way I look at it. I have so many rich friends and nobody knows who they are.’ … Reflecting on the meaning of having been president of the United States, his first impulse was not to mention public service, or what he felt he’d accomplished, only that it appeared to be a vehicle for fame, and that many experiences were only worth having if someone else envied them.”

Crusades said:It was a sarcastic remark. Perhaps it might be more understandable if a high ranking military official read and promoted a book called "Black Rage"? A book that allocates negative behavior onto people based on their skin color.
Thanks for attempting to explain. It's a tangent that doesn't make sense to me but that's okay. Not the first time you haven't made sense to me. LOL

No one is stopping you. You could probably get Pete Hegseth to promote it for you.

Nah. I do not particularly partake in assigning collective guilt or negative emotions based on skin color. I think you would do much better.
Who's Pete Hegseth? A rabid racist like the author of "White Rage"?

some might identify this as trolling.
I remember him and understand he didn't like Trump at all calling him dangerous and a fascist. His account, again it's just his account he wanted his generals to be more like Germans...(I'll leave it there).
Bannon, recently released from prison said "we're going to hold him accountable" and "I think Mark Milley has to be recalled to active duty on the afternoon of the 20th and I think a military tribunal ... a court martial, has to be ... impaneled. Mark Milley has to be brought up on charges and court martialed."
QuoteTrump's wish to recall and court-martial retired senior officers who criticized him in print has been reported before, including by Mark Esper, Trump's second secretary of defense.

Makes sense the Trump camp would troll him. Was he a proponent of the idea of white privilege or was a he a racist? I still don't get it the reference to the book.

Pervy Matt Gaetz brought it up during congressional hearings with Austin and Milley about CRT. Milley said he wanted to understand white rage and that makes him a racist, and erases his exemplary record of service.

In attempt not to "troll" read a sample of the book. It's full of fallacy and attempts to smear it people with"whitness". Speaking about Micheal Brown.
Definitely not an appropriate book to recommend to military personal.

According to the book. Milley is a immediate racist because he is white. Not because he read the book which is also racist. So Gaetz was wrong about Milley 's racist origin.
How would ones opinion be if one of Trump's new generals read and promoted a book to the troops that associated anger and criminality with the color of a person's skin?
If you really want to know, read the book. It's from a second grade author trying hard to capitalize on the "White Fragility" train.
