I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can. My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.
He's not going away.
Haberman's book is out based on interviews. I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting. Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with. LOL
Quote“At one point, Trump made a candid admission that was as jarring as it was ultimately unsurprising. ‘The question I get asked more than any other question: “If you had it to do again, would you have done it?”’Trump said of running for president. ‘The answer is, yeah, I think so. Because here’s the way I look at it. I have so many rich friends and nobody knows who they are.’ … Reflecting on the meaning of having been president of the United States, his first impulse was not to mention public service, or what he felt he’d accomplished, only that it appeared to be a vehicle for fame, and that many experiences were only worth having if someone else envied them.”

I wonder why team Trump doesn't release the video that they claim to have which proves that thus altercation didn't happen in the way described. Maybe they are lying.
The cemetery worket tried to prevent the cameras and subsequent footage. As they were unaware that Trump was invited by the families and it was not a campaine function. Before you argue I would refere to the many politicians included prior president's who were photographed at the cemetery.
So now you want the footage that was so important to not allow, that a cemetery worker was allegedly pushed to be released?

I'm not arguing anything with you when you distort the facts of the incident. I know what the details of the incident include, your gas lighting to benefit Trump won't work.
I don't care if Trump releases some footage. I'm simply pointing out that team Trump was quick to call the worker names and say that they could prove her wrong with video that they then never produced. They're either lying about the footage which shows their POV or they are terrible at doing what they say they are going to do. Maybe both?

She refused to press charges. The military considered it closed. I did not distort any facts.
The information was requested by the "American Oversight, a government watchdog group.". Who seeks and povides records to citizens. And thats it. There is no other purpose. Leads to nothing. If you visit the site, it is filled with propaganda.
It's not unreasonable to think that making the military provide the report is politically motivated . As the army considered the case closed. Oh and it's 2 weeks to election.
Last ditch effort.

Checked out American Oversight
" a nonpartisan, nonprofit watchdog that advances truth, accountability, and democracy by enforcing the public's right to government records."
Disagree with your assessment of this group. Federal election has a 90 day -no change in voting laws and voting record mass purge in effect for years - ~1977 per memory.
The 2024 Anti-Democracy Playbook has identified eight tactics anti-democracy activists and political leaders are using to lay the groundwork for post-election chaos and confusion.
Quote
These include:
- Mass voter registration challenges
- Partisan and politically motivated litigation
- Anti-immigrant election conspiracy theories
- Threats of voter intimidation
- Partisan election administration and rules
- Certification delays
- Hand counts
- State-led fraud investigation
Good for them to be posting online election information and court cases freedom of information requests documenting for all to see.

If nothing wrong was done, then why the objection to seeing the official records, instead of depending on reports from the media?

Who objected? I do not think the army just releases records on demand. A judge needs to file an order to release them. In which was what happened here.
However you were tricked into thinking that there was an objection or a refusal. At the very least the only objection would have come from the army. Nothing to do with Trump.
Congratulations you're a victim of propaganda. Yes. It works.

Like I said, you misrepresent the facts and details and intentionally ignore the point while making strawman arguments about the cemetery incident.

Fmr. Pres Donald Trump Campaigns at Madison Square Garden in New York City
QuoteFormer President and 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump hosted a campaign rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Former first lady Melania Trump introduced her husband. The president again called for a mass deportation program of illegal immigrants if he is reelected. He also repeated stark criticisms on and at times resorted to personal attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris, saying she killed 50,000 manufacturing jobs in 2024. The former president also announced a new policy supporting a tax credit for those caring for a parent or loved one, in contrast to Vice President Kamala Harris' proposal to broaden Medicare to help families who are struggling to pay for home care for an aging or sick parent. Before Mr. Trump spoke, several elected officials who support the former president spoke on his behalf, including Florida Rep. Byron Donalds (R) and New York Rep. Elise Stefanik (R). Former 2024 GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy also spoke

Trump's childhood friend David Rem referred to the Democratic presidential candidate, who is vying to become the first woman to be elected president, as "the Antichrist" and "the devil.” Businessman Grant Cardone told the crowd that Harris "and her pimp handlers will destroy our country.”
The opening of the rally was a hodgepodge of Trumpism, with an extended clip played from the 1970 film "Patton,” a painting of the American flag with Trump in front of it hugging the Empire State Building as "God Bless America" blared from the speakers, and a stand-up routine from comedian Tony Hinchcliffe that was full of lewd jokes, often invoking racist stereotypes of Latinos, Jews and Black people.

The Guardian Trump fills Madison Square Garden with anger, vitriol and racist threats
Quote
Anger and vitriol took center stage at New York's Madison Square Garden on Sunday night, as Donald Trump and a cabal of campaign surrogates held a rally marked by racist comments, coarse insults, and dangerous threats about immigrants.
Nine days out from the election, Trump used the rally in New York to repeat his claim that he is fighting "the enemy within" and again promised to launch "the largest deportation program in American history", amid incoherent ramblings about ending a phone call with a "very, very important person" so he could watch one of Elon Musk's rockets land.

Trump repeats 'enemy from within' attack
"When I say the enemy from within, the other side goes crazy. Becomes a soundbite – 'Oh how can he say...,’” Trump said. "No, they've done very bad things to this country. They are indeed the enemy from within. But this is who we're fighting.”
He later disparaged the press as the "enemy of the people.”
Trump has used the line repeatedly in recent weeks, including in an interview with Fox News when he suggested the military could be used to quell protests from his critics. Those comments have been at the center of criticism from some of his former top White House aides and from the Harris campaign.
