The Trump Thread

Published

I confess to back pedaling into Trump territory when I wanted to leave discussions about him in the garbage can.  My thread on the read-only break room site has 9,600 replies so I thought I'd bring up a new one.

He's not going away.

Haberman's book is out based on interviews.  I won't read it, but the excerpts are interesting.  Especially what he says about McConnell, a description that's against the Terms of Service here, but I actually don't disagree with.  LOL

Quote

“At one point, Trump made a candid admission that was as jarring as it was ultimately unsurprising. ‘The question I get asked more than any other question: “If you had it to do again, would you have done it?”’Trump said of running for president. ‘The answer is, yeah, I think so. Because here’s the way I look at it. I have so many rich friends and nobody knows who they are.’ … Reflecting on the meaning of having been president of the United States, his first impulse was not to mention public service, or what he felt he’d accomplished, only that it appeared to be a vehicle for fame, and that many experiences were only worth having if someone else envied them.”

It wasn't intended as a order. I was trying to use an opportunity to discuss the behaviors of Trump at the debate last night that you feel is evidence of mental illness. Perhaps I am bias and can't see it?

If you took my post as rude, it wasn't intended. The way in which you format your content can be considered impolite at least so I'm taken back that you considered this rude?

If you do not wish to discuss this it's fine.

However it would make your speculation more credible if you did.

You were quit specific about frontal lobe dementia.  I thought you might point out the symptoms in the debate.

Am I supposed to pretend that I didn't give you good information about this type of dementia already?  The symptoms of FTD  don't go away or magically change. You know this from your own work, right?  That means that the symptoms seen during the debate are some of the same symptoms we've discussed before.  More information or facts isn't going to help you find my remarks more credible, I've already proven that.  Why is that, do you suppose?  Why are facts and evidence not credible when they reflect an unpleasant truth about Trump?

Nah. I'm pretty sure that you are often simply intentionally rude to me and so I'm not overly friendly in response.

I heard that Trump's weird friend Lonnie Musk offered to give Taylor Swift one of his children and guard her cats with his life after she endorsed Harris.

I have some questions.  Does she get to choose which child?  Was this really an offer or was it a threat?

I asked you to give me examples of these symptoms that you feel are obvious by pointing them out from the debate. You did not or can not. Just like you were unable to name a condition that requires "killing a fetus" before birth to protect the mother. Instead tried to imply I had no idea of a medical condition necessary to perform an abortion to save a woman's life or heath.

Well I reject your opinion of me. Pretty sure ypur very first reply to me was rude. Tweety even elotted to your habit of not attempting to have "meaningful discussions".

You cannot "prove" a medical condition/illness by watching and reading media. You need an assessment by a qualified professional.  In practice or retired nurses are not qualified to diagnosis.  I do assessment and present them to my patients physicians all the time. I can identify certain symptoms and can make an educated guess. I though you might beable to do this with Trumps debate behavior. Like providing actual behavior examples. Like I would present to a Dr.

Didn't you learn this during your rotations? Or is this a newer development in current medical practice?

When you and others were accusing Biden of obvious signs of dementia and cognitive decline you never gave Biden the benefit of the doubt by saying he needs a proper medical evaluation.  If you did, I didn't notice and apologize.

Don't expect the same from TMB or even me.  We're obviously intelligent enough to know we can't do a medical evaluation on Trump, but we see what we see, just like you saw what you saw about Biden.

You're getting defensive on this matter, I would give it up but I can't tell you and TMB how to back and forth, but trust me from knowing TMB for many years when his heels are dug in, forget about it.  Say your two cents and move on.   It's exhausting to read and frankly I can't say I finish both of your posts.

Yes I did. I conceded I cannot diagnosis him. Look back. I did not recall saying he definitely has cognitive decline then post like it was an undisputed fact.

As a nurse with a certification in dementia, do you understand the symptoms of dementia to change dramatically from day to day? I can discuss the symptoms but there's no need.  They haven't changed in this short time span.

I can name a condition which might include that procedure but I refuse to participate in your appeal to emotions by demanding discussion of the specifics of these procedures. I'm not going to humor you.

I questioned your nursing experience and training based upon your questions about PHI.  Whining about that question doesn't square the contradictions in what your comments reflect.

You are in no position to lecture me on anything.

If you watched the debate and considered Trump objectively you could identify the symptoms for yourself.

So he had a good day today with his dementia symptoms and mental illness symptoms?  Yes. I agree, good days and bad day happen often..So yesterday was a good day for him?

If you refuse to provide examples for your claims on Trump's alleged dementia and mental illness and a abortion proceedure I think the conversation is over.

Chill out. 😎

I've provided examples.

It was never really a conversation and any pupose was exhausted long ago, you are just now giving up your attempt to argue about Trump's symptoms.

It was weird that Trump went to the spin room after the debate and insisted that he "won". He spun that narrative hard, complete with a bunch of numbers that he insisted were polling results.

Very unusual.

I watched a reporter asking Trump spokesman, Stephen Miller, about the debate in the spin room.  Miller lost his mind at one point when asked a question that he couldn't answer.

Very odd.

On social media Trump supporters are begin by fed propaganda that Harris was wearing ear audio devices designed to look like the pearl earrings that she's worn on other occasions.  The narrative is that Trump didn't lose the debate, Harris had the questions AND she was cheating with people giving her assistance in her ear.  Trump did call Harris dumb so it's important for team Trump explain how Trump was so dominated by a dumb woman.

Lots of people will run with the idea that she must have cheated and the moderators must have been on her side.

This is evidence of Trump's good judgment and campaigning to the middle, right?

Laura Loomer, a right-wing activist who posted last year that 9/11 was an "inside job,” joined Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in New York and Pennsylvania on Wednesday as he commemorated the anniversary of the attacks.

The 31-year-old provocateur and influencer posted photos from ground zero and shared a video of Trump talking with firefighters in Lower Manhattan on Wednesday morning, writing, "They were thrilled to see him.” She also accompanied the former president to Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where one of the planes crashed 23 years ago after crew members and passengers fought back against the hijackers.

It was a great campaign strategy for Trump's guest to utilize Musk's social media platform to make racist remarks about the white House smelling like curry should Harris win.  That reminded me that Trump's spokesman  talked about airforce 2 and how he would need to have it deep cleaned to get the smell out.

Definitely weird and racist.

Wierd and racist indeed.

It reminds me if when our current president said you couldn't shop at 7-11 unless you understood an Indian accent.

Quote

The former head of Project 2025, a rightwing blueprint for remaking the US government that was created by many of Donald Trump's former officials, has urged the former president to replace his two campaign managers if he wants to win November's presidential election.

Quote

"Trump should be running like Secretariat at the Belmont, but instead it's a race to the wire,” Dans told the New York Times.

He also accused Trump's campaign advisers of "malpractice", and said their misjudgments led to an embarrassing public about-face, in which Trump finally claimed to disown the Project 2025 document.

Quote

Dans, who served for two years in the White House under Trump, spearheaded work at the conservative Heritage Foundation thinktank that produced Project 2025. The 922-page tome proposes an array of radical plans to reshape government – such as replacing tens of thousands of career civil servants with Trump loyalists, abolishing the education department and drastically restricting abortion and contraception.

I bet Trump wishes this republican and former aide would shut up.
