The GOP is at a turning point. History is watching us.
Quote
...In public statements again this week, former president Donald Trump has repeated his claims that the 2020 election was a fraud and was stolen. His message: I am still the rightful president, and President Biden is illegitimate. Trump repeats these words now with full knowledge that exactly this type of language provoked violence on Jan. 6. And, as the Justice Department and multiple federal judges have suggested, there is good reason to believe that Trump’s language can provoke violence again. Trump is seeking to unravel critical elements of our constitutional structure that make democracy work — confidence in the result of elections and the rule of law. No other American president has ever done this.
The Republican Party is at a turning point, and Republicans must decide whether we are going to choose truth and fidelity to the Constitution.
...Each of us swears an oath before God to uphold our Constitution. The electoral college has spoken. More than 60 state and federal courts, including multiple Trump-appointed judges, have rejected the former president’s arguments, and refused to overturn election results. That is the rule of law; that is our constitutional system for resolving claims of election fraud.
The question before us now is whether we will join Trump’s crusade to delegitimize and undo the legal outcome of the 2020 election, with all the consequences that might have...

How quickly will that bit of sanity be cancelled in the Republican party?

White supremacy is a very real threat to this country remaining free. So, it is funny how the propaganda machine of the Nazi right and their Trump supporting followers think Republican disagreements = Real conservatives fighting other conservatives and the border can be solved over night. When in fact Trump supporters are not real conservatives and Trump supporters were OK with Trump's Nazi's writing policies to support zero immigration from human beings from predominantly black and brown countries.
Trump and his supporters are white nationalist, who are also authoritarians. Real conservatives left the Republican party long ago or have remained to fight Nazis/Trump supporters for control of the party, Nazi political apologist (insert all the names of the politicians Trump supports), and Nazis.
Speaking of media propaganda, Trumps' propagandist are circulating lies on a daily basis so I figured I should ask the Trump supporters on this forum. Trump supporters, are you actually confused that:
1.) The twice impeached Trump is no longer President of the United States? Your Fuhrer said he is yesterday.
2.) The election in 2020 is legit and was not fraudulent? Your idol god insists that the "Big Lie" is that he is not President, when in fact is known as the Big Liar!
3.) January 6 was an attempted coupe by Trump and his whacked Trump terrorist? The twice impeached political abomination continues to call Trump terrorist patriots, when in fact they are traitors to this country and future prisoner number whatever.

LOL
Do you ou think that rises to the level of threat that THE BIG LIE represents to our republic? If so, you fall on the side sedition, not patriotism.
You get to decide.

When you say "Trump supporter," are you referring to all of the 74 million who voted for him? Or, are you using other criteria to make this classification?

Anyone who supports Trump is a Trump supporter. In addition, I thank God that 81.1 million Americans who voted for President Biden and against Trump and Trumpism were not and are not outnumbered. We are the majority and we will continue to fight and win.

Well...........yes. They voted for him despite him being on the continuum of evil. He's not Hitler; he's just on the same continuum.

The Real Reason Republicans Want to Oust Liz Cheney
The problem isn’t her views on Donald Trump. It’s her relationships with fellow Republicans.

Liz Cheney Wants to Save American Democracy From Trump’s Next Coup
I was hoping that without Twitter and facebook, along with NY state investigations that Trumps influence would wane. More upsetting is the BIG LIE continuing with Republicans enabling.
I don't think that the problem is Trump. I think that republicans know that in a fair fight they will lose hands down as evidenced by their losing the popular votes in the last 7 elections I think.
I think that they have calculated that their only chances going forward is to cheat as best as they can. Suppress voting for Democrats, gerrymandering and any other illegal means to retain power. In other words, Cancel Democracy!

Republicans hate smart women. Hilary was the smartest and they hated her the most. They still want their women subservient to their stupidity and they get real testy when a woman starts to break free of the metaphorical shackles. It's enough to make a woman want to be a Democrat and maybe Liz will switch:) But this is a woman who put political gain over her own sister so I doubt it will happen. Who ever thought she would eventually be eaten by her own party?
