It's not a slur. It simply identifies a specific group of people (cult?) who are often mocked for their belief of conspiracy theories and wild speculation while carrying grievances for Trump and the GOP. The lovers of the MAGA "movement" (MAGAphiles) are often flamboyant, outspoken and not very well informed.
Oh, it's DEFINITELY a slur to me. Just a cheap expression of a meaningless sentiment used by a group who aren't intellectually or culturally competent to implement it.

Labeling someone as a MAGA ....it's a slur. It means don't engage with them, don't let them know your address, keep on walking, don't marry them and don't marry their daughters.

Yes. I would liken it as some of us label ourselves as woke and some people use it as a slur like it's the worst possible thing. Some have said wokeness is the biggest threat to our Democracy and freedoms.
Back in May he appointed what was then his 5th state Supreme Court Justice since he took office. I'm not sure this has ever been a public process when vetting and not sure why this is news now unless it's something the general public in the rest of the states don't know. With this Supreme Court and the lapdogs that are the state house and senate, he surely has control.

The authoritarian tendencies and tactics are spreading.
The 2024 presidential primaries are in full swing. President Joe Biden is the overhelming favorite for the Democratic nomination. Former President Donald Trump remains the clear front-runner for the Republican nod.
This puts a lot of Americans in a position they don't want to be in: A historically large share of them do not like either man at this point.
A CNN/SSRS poll from earlier this month found that more Americans viewed neither Biden nor Trump favorably than those who held favorable views of either man. A plurality (36%) viewed neither candidate favorably, while 33% had a favorable view of Trump and 32% for Biden. Constraining ourselves to registered voters, 31% viewed neither Biden nor Trump favorably.
I for one am disappointed that Biden doesn't retire at the end of this term. It still baffles me that Trump is so favored but y'all know that.
