I traditionally have a thread heading to the election, here we go.
Get out the popcorn for this one.
QuoteFlorida Gov. Ron DeSantis is expected to formally announce next week he is running for president in 2024, NBC News reported Thursday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.
The governor's official entry into the Republican primary field will put him head-to-head with former President Donald Trump, the party's current frontrunner for the nomination. Trump has already spent months treating DeSantis as his primary campaign rival, thrashing him with torrents of criticism over his gubernatorial record, his political skills and his personality.

The bigger issue is county clerks ignoring the PA Supreme Court and counting ballots they shouldn't be.
What you think Trump would do is once again irrelevant speculation.
I have no problem with ballots not correctly returned not being counted. People have to read the instructions. ANY contender that doesn't get a recount in these super close races would be remiss, not just Trump.

It's interesting that folks who maintain elections are safe, secure, etc. think that a recount might change the result of an election that was decided by 17,000 votes.

Aren't there laws in place that specify when recounts should be put into place?
Here in Florida it states: A machine recount must be ordered if the 1st set of unofficial returns indicates that a candidate was defeated or eliminated by ½ of 1% or less of the total votes cast for an office
It's not a matter of whether anyone maintains elections are safe, secure, etc. it's the law here. DeSantis says we are the most free state with the safest elections. But a law is a law. Although the defeated candidate here can accept defeat and request a recount not happen. But the winner has to allow a recount.
I guess we can put election fraud to rest for a bit.
QuoteNew data shows that the vast majority of Americans felt this year's general election was administered well, a stark contrast to perceptions in 2020 and a reflection of how Republican voters specifically have come around on election security in a year when their preferred presidential candidate won.

Common costs involved with recounts and contested elections include staff salaries, location rental, vendor support, and legal services.[1] In some instances, the state or county must cover the costs. In others, an interested party—normally a candidate or voter—must pay. State laws normally specify who must pay and under what circumstances.[2]
