Anyone else have that teacher who likes to stop in and take their own temperature several times per week? I have a couple of these here. I used to ask them what was wrong, if they needed anything but now I don;t even look up. Kind of weird they are so obsessed...

Just threaten them with a mandatory weigh-in/BMI check while they're in the office; they usually run for the hills.

Maybe they're checking temperature to gauge what part of their fertility cycle they're on for later?

I have a few...so annoying. I also have a couple that are always wanting me to look at their throats, ears or whatever skin rash/irritation they have going on.

For this purpose, I think the temp needs to be taken immediately upon waking while still in bed.

I have a FF teacher afraid of lice, swears her room is infested with them 24/7/365. She cracks me up. I told her you do realize after 24hrs without a host, they die, right? So when you leave Friday, they'll be dead by Monday.
then I informed her that we can't exclude just for nits and she was furious... oops!

And the blood pressure seekers.
Just a thought - does you thermometer require cover slips? You could 'conveniently' run out or be running low and you can't unnecessarily spare any except for the kids.

I only check a BP if a teacher with known issue asks or if it's an emergency. I don't even pour out Tylenol for the adults. I'm not creating a nurse patient relationship with staff unless it's an emergency. Headache? I put the bottle on the counter and they can have at it.

THIS...to infinity and beyond! I usually start out with the line from Kindergarten Cop, "It could be a tumor."
