Teachers who frequently check their temperatures

Published

Anyone else have that teacher who likes to stop in and take their own temperature several times per week? I have a couple of these here. I used to ask them what was wrong, if they needed anything but now I don;t even look up. Kind of weird they are so obsessed...

For this purpose, I think the temp needs to be taken immediately upon waking while still in bed.

I really want to respond to this but since I'm so sensitive and understanding I'll just .

YES! I have several FF teachers. They drive me nuts with all their whining about EVERY little thing!

I'm very intrigued now... I only meant that for checking for fertility (whether one is trying to achieve or avoid pregnancy) the basal temp is taken ASAP.

What did you think I meant?!?!

That seems weirder to me than some of my co-workers who want me to check their blood glucose now and then. Or they'll check their own BP at my station. Or maybe they're just hotheads, eh? :^)

I'm tempted to put a sign on my door that reads : If you are not a student, only RECTAL temps will be taken" :roflmao: But that could attract some weirdos...

I would most definitely be trying to AVOID pregnancy. I've had all the children that I will be having

Pretty much my entire staff here is a bunch of hypochondriacs.

But what drives me nuts is when they won't go home for something they should.

I had a first grade teacher with pink eye who I saw in the morning before the kiddos arrived, and told her that I couldn't diagnosed BUT if she was a student I would be sending her home. That afternoon I saw that she was still here because she "felt guilty" about leaving without there being coverage for her class.

Guess who saw a bunch of red eyed first graders the next day?:arghh:

Not going to lie, I do this during the day :p Our in-ear thermometers are spot on!

But mermaids only have oral and axillary route.

I'm really curious about how you get more mermaids, but having lurked here long enough sort-of afraid to ask.
