I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.
I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.
I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.
I called yesterday and got through after calling around the whole college and talked to the Director of the Nursing program. She said that she did not know when exactly they will send the letters out because there has been a glitch. I really hope they didn't lose anybody's information due to this. She made it sound like it was a big deal.
I guess we just have to wait until they send the letters out someday before school starts. Really dissapointing.

I called at about 9am yesterday and I was told they'd be sent out this week....this is so frustrating:crying2:!!
I also wonder what kind of glitch, I would think if they were to be mailed this week, they would have been stuffing our envelopes to mail out. If they need help stuffing envelopes, I can free up some time.
Ok, I just called. She said now it will be at least the end of the month. I asked will it be after summer session starts and she said yes. So, those of us who are waiting to here so we will know whether we can drop the summer courses will have to just make a decision. Because I know if we start the class then get a letter of acceptance we will not get a full refund. This is so frustrationg, and she was very nice and said she completly understands. I wish we could know what the problem is now.
Seriously, I wonder what is going on over at the nursing department? I just don't get how every single person who works there can be on a different page all the time. I hope that this doesn't reflect how the nursing program will be.
May or may not be related to the director of nursing's "glitch", but guess what position was posted on 5-16-11? Yeah....Director of Nursing! Also one part-time nursing instructor postition is still open. Maybe we should chip in and hire a PI to find out what the h:uhoh3:ll is going on over there! This information will be life altering for us. Why are they sitting on it? Is it staffing/clinical sites/construction schedules/funds or some combination? Please! The math dept. will be taking over the old nursing bldg. I wonder if they have heard anything, like possibly a delay in their move.
---I just double checked, the job was posted 5.13.11, I called yesterday and was told letters would be out THIS WEEK. So I'm hoping this wasn't the glitch they were referring to when Venus82mx called earlier.....a Nursing program without a director sounds worse than just a "glitch"......a "glitch" would be more like ---Ooops we ran outta envelopes!!
The director's job app. period is only thru 6-10. Does that seem short for such a position? I hope that means it's only posted as a legal formality and they already have someone in mind for the job. Overseeing admissions is listed as one of the responsibilities.
If it's lack of envelopes, I'd be happy to send them a LARGE, white, stamped, self adressed one right away!

What else can cause a delay? Unbelievable, I hope that was a cruel joke.
