Tarrant County Fall 2011 Applicants

Published

Hello,

I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.

I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.

I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.

Thanks for the support. Best wishes to you all...heres to us all getting our BIG envelopes...and SOON

Welcome, your scores look fine to me, althoughI don'tget to decide. But really you look like your right in there with the rest of us. I think all of would have gotten in over the pastfew semesters, so lets keep our fingers crossed that this year's pool hasn't increased the averages that much.

I think we all have a good shot.

The wait isn't over yet? Ugh!

Science GPA: 4.0

Overall GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 86% (Version 5)

It honestly looks like everyone on here has very similar scores. If some of us are higher on GPA, then those people are usually lower than some on TEAS scores. It really balances our group out. I'm just keeping in mind that these people on here and usually the ones that care the most and seek out help/assurance. We should be the "top of the crop."

:)

I thought TCCD is using the HESI now?

The hesi starts next app period.

We are a pretty well balanced group. I think we all have a good shot. I also think we will make good study groups and support systems for one another. I hope we all get in. I counted ten of us who have shared scores. we are a very small percentage of applicants, but I hope we represent the best of the overall pool.

Everyone's scores are so great. It makes me feel so discouraged. I'm going to following your advice studentcl. I am taking summer chem. That will hopefully get me a 3.5 and I will wish for the best on the Hesi. My score on the TEAS i took in Feb was pretty good, so hopefully the hesi will reflect that.

I talked to someone in my class that works at a hospital and he said that all the nurses said the hesi is easier than the TEAS. don't know how credited that source is but I'm hopeful :)

I have also heard that the Hesi is easier than the TEAS.

I hope I don't have to find out. :)

Has anyone else called to confirm that letters might go out this week? I tried calling but no one answered :(

I called yesterday and got through after calling around the whole college and talked to the Director of the Nursing program. She said that she did not know when exactly they will send the letters out because there has been a glitch. I really hope they didn't lose anybody's information due to this. She made it sound like it was a big deal.

I guess we just have to wait until they send the letters out someday before school starts. Really dissapointing.

Well that doesn't sound promising! Did she say anything about what kind of glitch? Like anything at all?
