Hello,
I'm applying to the fall nursing program in January. I'm super excited but I still have some unanswered questions. I tried calling the Nursing Dept at the South Campus and left a message but have not heard a response.
I'm trying to find out what teas version they are testing with in the spring for fall entry. I have read tons of threads from TCC for the past few semesters and it is nice to start a new one for nursing hopefuls like me.
I'm taking Micro in the fall and getting a math class knocked out for BSN. Anyway, hope to get some responses.
@rajah, the nursing building is not in the same building with the bookstore. It is very close though. I believe when I was over there a week or so ago, the building actually said "Allied Health building" or "Medical Professions Building" or something to that effect. It's going to be so nice.
I remember how a couple of semesters back I was taking Chemistry and they had some sort of blood drive or fair at the trinity campus and there were some student nurses there. Oh, how I had hoped I was one of them and now I'm on my way to have my dream realized. Lol! I'm so excited too, I can wait because I know I will miss my kids when I start but I'm super excited. Yay!
Hey guys! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer vacation and last month of freedom :)
I have a question for you all about scrubs. I went to Dorothy's yesterday to match up the patch with the proper colors. I noticed that the Cherokee Teal Blue is pretty much a perfect match, but I'm plus size and they just didn't seem to fit as well for me. So, I was looking at the Barco NRG in the Breeze color. These fit a lot better, but the patch and pants color aren't an EXACT match. It's a little off, but it still looks teal enough in my opinion.
I was wondering if anyone else has purchased or is thinking about purchasing the Barco NRG scrubs in that color? I know Txmommy said that there are going to be a lot of different teal shades, but I just want to make sure I won't be the odd one out haha.

If they don't have your size there at the store for the style you like, you can order them through the girls behind the counter and they will call you when they come in. I did order several items that I liked in the right color and size because they didn't have what I was looking for. In particular, I ordered the Cherokee pants because I felt that they were the closest in color and they were half the price of most of the other pants. If I don't like them later down the road or they fade color (which Cherokee is known for) I won't mind spending money on another pair or two. Good luck, finding scrubs wasn't easy among all the 1,000,000,0000,000 brands and stores out there.
I stopped by the TR campus this morning to take care of a few things, and thought I'd let y'all know:
- CID's for Skills (RNSG1105) have been printed and are available to purchase from the bookstore now (cost was $4.25 and it's another thick one! Yikes!!)
- I was unable to have a student ID made today. I'm being told that the Nursing Student's student ID's will look different than the normal ID's currently available, however, they are still working on the final look. I tried calling the Nursing Department to confirm this and to see if they had any other information but got no answer. So, I guess I'll keep that one on my To Do List for now.
Oh, and I also scoped out the Energy Auditorium. There is a little sitting area directly in front of the elevators/stairs upon entering the 4th floor (close to the Administration desk) and another sitting area directly in front of the auditorium itself. I think we should just pick one of the two areas to meet... maybe the one by the administration desk would be best because it might be a little more out of the way of everyone trying to register. Just a thought.

I was there yesterday, and they didn't have the CIDs yet, I guess I will have to head up there tomorrow. While I was in business services the lady asked if I had been in the new building. I said it isn't open yet. She said they were supposed to be doing tours, and maybe they just haven't started yet. I would love to get a tour. Has anyone else heard about tours?
I haven't heard about tours either but I would love to do that! Also, if we have our ID already then it says we don't have to get a new one.. Im curious about the "special" nursing one that they told you about.. That would be worth getting my ID redone!
Soo I called SO bookstore again about my nametag today. Today has been 6 weeks and a day since I've ordered it and still haven't recieved it. The man said that they lost a huge order and eventually found it so it will no doubt be here by august 1st (Monday).. We will see...

hello guys! It's been several weeks since I've been on here... just wanted to touch base. I cant believe we are only a month out, I'm so excited for classes to start. I'm bored to tears waiting.
I went to the TR campus to order patches and name tags and pick up the CID's. I went to the Trinity building and didnt even realize there were two buildings, and the nursing program is in the East building? I'm thoroughly confused, tried to drive by but wasnt sure which one it was. I'll definitely be back over there before orientation just to make sure I know where the heck I'm supposed to be. Campus is beautiful though.
Im also interested in meeting up before orientation, someone should make a little AN sign or flag and we can look for that.
Hope everyone is enjoying their summers.
