Tomorrow I'll be done!!! The years of pre reqs & co reqs, are behind me now and tomorrow I will get my second PPD read, get my titers filled in on my vaccination report, upload that to my new arch nemesis, Certified Background, and then I'm DONE! All that's left to do is the fun stuff, like orientation and getting my scrubs ordered. I wonder if it will be embarassing when I ask them for a size Medium to try on. They will probabaly say, "Girl..... really?" And then they'll ..... I'm no longer having dreams of my teeth falling out (dental exam anxiety) or showing up to class naked and being told "You SO do not belong here." I am, however, not sleeping well for the anxiety of getting all this done before the August 2nd deadline. Maybe once tomorrow is over and I can see that the new devil in my life, Certified Background, has accepted ALL my documentation, I shall take a much needed afternoon nap. My T minus countdowns used to be for the Twilight movies, but since I don't have those to look forward to anymore (Yeah, so what? I love Twilight! ) I will be counting down to August 26 and the beginning of what is bound to be an AWESOME JOURNEY!

My classes don't start until Sept 23rd, but I am perfectly fine with that! I am really excited (and nervous) to start, but I am buying my textbooks (all 9 of them) and supplies a little at a time so I don't have to spend hundreds of dollars all at once. I haven't started tackling Certified Background yet, but I have all of the documents ready to go so I should probably start that sometime soon...I am nt so excited about that part as I have heard from a bunch of people that it is a real pain
It is, and it doesn't make alot of sense, because our health/vaccination form is a only a two page form for all of it, yet that same form needs to be uploaded to certified background for each of the vaccination requirements, one at a time. I have to upload it about nine times tomorrow when I get it back from my doctor. Certified Background haunts my dreams! It's so funny too, because it took them twenty three seconds to decide I wasn't a terrorist (I passed the Patriot Act background check about that fast) but the criminal records check takes a few days. I'm even afraid to write that word for fear I'm in violation of the Patriot Act.

I start on August 19th and am anxiously counting down the days until then! I have a couple more books to order, and a bundle of books and my scrubs to pick up from the bookstore. I am glad, however, that I decided to take a week off from work before school starts to spend time with my family - since I don't live in the same town as them I know I'm not going to see them very often after classes start.

heck yes for starting on August 26th!! I start that day too. :) Still have to buy my books, which are SUPER expensive. I'm not complaining though, I am grateful to have this opportunity to go to nursing school. :)

I wish that we did not have summers off. Gives me time to realize how much I hate nursing school. I don't hate the career choice; just the school aspect. One more semester and then on to nclex. Cannot wait!

first week of september for me... Excited but also nervous to be moving away from my boyfriend/family!
Don't worry too much about all the documentation, just get it done! It's really not bad, just do it as early as you can in case you run into any snafus.
Oh no! You hate it? Why do you hate it? Share with us! And can I just say, Way to go on your accomplishment!
