HI!!!
I'm sure new to the site and I just had a few questions on the SUNY Farmingdale Advanced Standing program. I have applied for the spring term and will be taking my Teas test this month.
I have a 3.2 under grad GPA, over 5,000 direct patient care hours and have been studying like crazy for the Teas so I hope to do well on that. Any guess on my chances for getting in??
Any one in the program or graduated from it want to give me some reviews on how it was, would you recommend it? How is the faculty? How are the clinicals?
The only thing that has really thrown me off with the program is that you HAVE to do it in 3 years and since I have so many prereqs, they told me I will have to be part-time some semesters, aka no financial aid .
Would it be worth it to retake some classes this year and get up my GPA and then apply to Stony Brook two year program?? or even a PA program! I would be technically have my BSN or PA masters around the same time!
I don't know which is a better program, Stony Brook or Farmingdale. Obviously SB has the bigger name, but I do not want to discount Farmingdale until I know it is or isn't a good option.
What is your guys opinion??
Should take the chance with SB and do my courses there non- matriculated? and apply there?
or go the Farmingdale 3 year program?
.............If i even get in

Has anyone heard back from Farmingdale yet? The anticipation is killing me…..
Same here. Mine says wait listed on the student account.
Mine still says that too. The women I spoke to a few weeks ago in admissions says they were accepting teas results from up until 11/8 and that decisions would be made after that. Did you apply anywhere else?

Hey all
Ive also applied to the program for spring 2016 and just finished taking the Teas Saturday. Spoke with a woman today and she said we wouldn't hear back until they start reviewing next week. Hope we get updates soon!
I applied to Adelphi as a backup. But I am hoping that I'll get into Farmingdale. Private schools are so expensive. How about you? Where did u apply?
And do you guys know if we have to go through a interview process before getting into the program?
@gr321
I applied to Molloy as a backup and was accepted. And you're so right about that tuition cost. Getting accepted to Farmingdale would definitely be a blessing. And as far as the interviews go, I spoke with a gentleman from the admissions office last Friday and he said that this year they won't be holding any.
Hopefully that means we'll be receiving feedback sooner.
I applied to Nassau, farmingdale, liu Brooklyn, and adelphi. Haven't heard anything back from anywhere yet : ( getting very anxious
Hopefully we will get in. And its awesome that they are not doing the interviews this year. We will get our admission decission sooner. How did u do on the teas test?
