  1. I was also accepted; however, I’ve decided to withdraw my application. I’ve committed to another program that I think is a better fit for me. Good luck to everyone! ?
  2. Do you have anyone from your current workplace to write you a letter of recommendation? I am also switching careers; I work at a marketing agency right now. I had my supervisor write me one. I also had my former employer and former professor write me letters. None of them were medical or healthcare related. Definitely reach out to anyone who is a good fit. Grades seem to be the most important determining factor though so keep that in mind.
  3. My overall GPA is 3.8. I got all A's in my prereqs. I applied without having Microbiology completed; I just finished the class a few days ago. I have no medical experience and previously went to school for graphic design. I was very shocked I got an interview to be honest, LOL. Seems they really take grades into account.
  4. Nothing yet. I don’t understand why they take so long to get back to us. I’m 90% sure I’m going to another school
  5. Yup!! I just realized from the looks of the doc and how the curriculum is structured.. I may have problems remaining a full time student. Hmmm. I hate to jeopardize my financial aid
  6. Gah! I dread history classes. I took a class at Suffolk called Modern American History too. I wonder why it didn't transfer
  7. Thanks! I got an 89 on my TEAS To those who were originally accepted, was there an orientation I missed? I just confirmed my seat so I'm not sure what the next steps are. All I did so far was pay for the bg check through castle branch.
  8. What a rollercoaster of emotions. I just received an email from the nursing department that a seat opened up in the day program!
  9. Has anyone scheduled advisement/registered for classes? I paid my tuition deposit right before the deadline because I was waiting to hear back from another school.
  10. I just received a rejection email (finally) to my personal and ncc email. I'm almost positive it's because I don't have all my prereqs completed. Good luck to everyone starting the Spring!! ?
  11. I’m so sorry. That’s a good point. I am also thinking they are looking to see that you completed all your prerequisites. I got an 89 on my TEAS but didn’t complete all my prerequisites. When I get home I’m going to check to see if I got the same email
  12. I hope this isn’t the case! Admissions told me to wait until after the holidays to hear back. So odd... if this is true, I wonder where I fell short in my application
  13. My friend that graduated from Nassau’s nursing program told me even if you have some of the coursework completed, it will still take you two years to get your ASN from them. Then another 2 from SUNY empire (but he told me to look for other options)
  14. Can you or anyone clarify how the points are calculated?
  15. I just called admissions. The woman said my application is still pending.. weird! But I guess that’s better than a no. She said to expect a response after the holidays.
