Hi there! This thread is for anyone, anywhere that wants to chat about summer courses they are taking. This is our THIRD iteration of semester chat!
What's your schedule like this summer? Any TEAS or HESI preppers?
I'm taking three courses over 5 weeks. Texas Government (online), Chem II (lecture only, on campus) and Music Appreciation (online). School starts for me on June 6, ends July 7.
I'm also taking the TEAS on May 30th, so I'm prepping for that. And all my nursing school applications are due on August 1, so I'm working on that, too.
Hope everyone is well!

Jen
My school is on the quarter system. There are only about 2 weeks left of the Spring quarter (I'm finishing up a 1-credit independent psych study) and then I am scheduled to take my TEAS test on June 16th. I'm super excited, but also very nervous!
After I take the TEAS, I should know in a few weeks if I made it into the Fall quarter start of my school's RN program.
I'm not taking any classes this summer. Instead I'm just using the summer to relax and be class-free until I (hopefully) start the nursing program in the fall. So far I've been spending my break waiting on my acceptance/denial letter to the program, so there hasn't been much relaxing yet :/ hopefully I can enjoy my summer off more once my letter comes.
I am taking Chem/Lab this summer. Physio and Micro will be this fall...then all my prereqs are done :) Im going to apply this fall for the spring though..worst case if I don't have enough points I'll apply again in the spring after my last two sciences are done. I would love to start the nursing program come spring, so Im crossing my fingers about my application this fall!
This is so ridiculous, but I'm so restless without any school stuff to work on.
You can come finish my online class for me! It's technically 8 weeks long but I have to finish it in 2. So far I'm done with the first 5 weeks and have written 5 papers, taken 5 exams, and read over 300 pages of my textbook + countless articles in the past 7 days. I'm literally going insane, mainly because I despise writing papers and online classes. lol Definitely a classroom/interactive learner.

I was wondering if we moved over here yet! Funny how you all have two-ish year olds, my youngest is two and a half. I am going to be super busy over the summer, but I balanced the schedule so I'm taking one intensive class and two lighter ones together. Then, in eight weeks, we start another session. I don't know if I would be able to take a whole summer off, if I have two weeks off in between sessions, I start to go crazy.
