Student Nurse "Help me!" Threads

Published

I think I'm done answering student nurse help me threads here.

I've gotten rude answers, or they never even bother coming back to the thread to acknowledge the answers they received.

Some will ask life choice questions like "Where should I move?" or "Where should I apply?". Do they think someone is going to offer them a job here, is that why they start these threads? You have the whole internet to research towns, cities, regions, but instead you post a thread asking a bunch of strangers where you should move?

Some help me threads seem to be 'Help me do my homework' threads.

Thank you for reading.

Ok, now this is just creepy. If someone were to click onto my name, to follow the link to "my" page, they'd find a paragraph that LOOKS like I wrote it.....but of course did not. Wonder why AN wrote my biography for me, complete with this part: "I enjoy learning new facts on a daily basis. Be sure to read my blog articles and journal, and feel free to comment if something piques your interest."

Seriously? I don't have a single blog article or journal. What if I don't want people to "feel free to comment" on my nonexistent blog articles or journals? And, just supposing, I don't "enjoy learning new facts on a daily basis"? ;)

Makes me sound like a bit of a weiner, actually. Dear Ghostwriter---- I demand a re-write!

Images of Fomites dancing in my head......endless pages on the dangers of stepping into a public space while wearing a set of scrubs......the song 'Memories' comes drifting through..... :D

You don't remember writing that? :sarcastic:

Actually, everybody's say the same thing, a fill in the blanks template.

You can remove this. It was discussed in the "How to use site" Forum on the thread "Introduction to the Content Navigation Bar." You go to your account, and then go to "Edit settings" and type in whatever you want for an introduction.

I figured as much, honestly....but it IS creepy.

Sigh. And now I need a tutorial on how to use a site I've been using for umpteen years.....!

Ok. Guess I'll toddle on over that way...

hmmm, I can get to "account" but don't see a "settings" or "edit settings" in sight.

I fear once Canadian nurses start writing the NCLEX in 2015 the Canadian forum will start having a large abundance of these threads... :cautious:

I was thinking the same thing the other day.... Lets cross our fingers lol

Let me check what I did and I'll post back.

I went to Dashboard, Edit Settings, Profile Introduction, and entered my introduction there.

Can someone please let me know when it gets fun again? Thanks. I'm working on my research question, "should I do the ADN program too hours away that starts next month but they are ok with tattoos, or should I go to the LPN program that's right across town but it starts this fall even though they have a strict no-tattoo policy and I have Tweety Bird tattooed on my bippy?"

I think it depends on if you get the good pop-up.

Yup. Quick google search and I know her real name and place of employment. And her Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram and other online personas. Sad that youth is so trusting; guess it takes maturity to realize idealism does not exist in the workplace ;)
