Does anyone else have problems with their food "mysteriously" disappearing from the refrigerator only to find that when it is time to eat your food is gone? Here is to everyone who thinks it is ok to eat other people's food. STOP IT! You are pitiful and I hope one day I catch you...ohhhhhhh do I hope I catch you. And if you are one of those people who are stealing....explain to me what you are thinking? please.

This is why I invested in a cooler and a lock for my locker. Where I work now, I don't have that problem, but it is well-known that the 100 cal packs and popcorn in my desk are fair game. My Lean Cuisine is never bothered. So sorry you're having troubles. Some people really have a nerve.

I know exactly how you feel. I brought a Weight Watcher's Smart Ones frozen dinner to work, put it in the freezer with my name on it. Once I got a break, my dinner wasn't there. Now I usually don't bring money to work, because I didn't want to be tempted to eat restaurant food or go down to the vending machines, so I didn't have any money or food! I was starving and ******! Working over 12 hours without anything to eat is not fun!

They are like bears raiding the picnic basket. Some people are weird when it comes to food and have little self control. It's frustrating but at the same time I can't get angry over it. Money, yes, I'd be fighting mad, but food...I guess I'm a softie when it comes to that. Someone took my tv dinner one time. Never figured out who it was.

Back in a different career, I had an inventory control manager who kept having his expensive coffee creamer disappear form the refrigerator. The way he fixed this also let him know who the thieves were. He made his morning coffee as usual placed the creamer in the refrigerator when it disappeared he posted a note on the refrigerator that after making his coffee he went to the bathroom with the creamer and refilled it with his urine. The culprits all left work within the next 30 min. The next day they were all questioned and when they admitted they had taken the creamer they were told the sign was not true and they were very relieved and said they had learned their lesson and promised not to do it again. Then justice was served all were fired for theft and could not get unemployment.

That happens quite often at my place of employment too.
However the last time mine "disappeared" I just made a statement at a time when most were at the nursing station, "my lunch disappeared-- I was SO looking forward to eating the grilled goat and yak cheese casserole I brought." :hehe:
Culprit promptly vomitted.

This is theft, plain and simple.

We had a Dr. who would eat out of your container of food and then put it back in the fridge...no one ever brought food after that....needless to say he is no longer working with us!

Never had that problem, luckily.
I don't think my lunch of dry oatmeal in a ragged tupperware container, and milk in a baby bottle(to be mixed with the dry oatmeal), is going to attract as much attention as a can of unopened soda or an attractive frozen food dinner.

I really wish there was someone to stop people like this, I just have a little lunch pack in my purse with my sandwich in it because I don't want my stuff stolen anymore. I can't bring the good stuff like caseroles, leftovers, or tv dinners because I don't want it stolen. I swear I wouldn't mind if they had cameras set up in the breakroom just to prevent theft like this.

EWWW we had a doc that ate our food too and left the container.
We caught the thief that was stealing our food and dealt with him directly (no we didn't kick him in the shins:D)
Had a nurse that would 5 finger discount money. 5-10 dollars at a time. We didn't have lockers...sooo...I put a warning on my purse that I had a rat trap in it, the thief didn't risk it and it stopped. I really did have a mouse trap in my purse.
You know, I don't care to share or to give someone a little money it they need it...JUST ASK!!!!!!!!

It just appauls me that people do such things...needless to say, a DOCTOR. As much money as doctors make, you would think he could afford to buy his own lunch! So disgusting.
