Added to correct some misunderstandings: This thread isn't about Donald Trump the person. It's about the Trump Effect, or Trumpism, which continues to damage our country.
It's not about China. It's about people who, even by omission-- lend an aura of credibility to people who push conspiracy theories, whether they are "pro-Trump" or not.
Lindell, Flynn and Bannon. Mix them up and there's no end to the horror.
I continue to be amazed at the lack of attention these people attract. They are not just "Trump allies". This is a network of unstable and dangerous people.

The current administration didn't make the other side stick to those terms, and they didn't stick to the plans that were made.
This mess is totally on Biden, and the world recognizes that fact.
The military is responsible for developing those plans for withdrawal. The military has their own 20 billion/ year intelligence group. The top US military were either not honest in their appraisals of the situation in Afghanistan or they developed insufficient and inaccurate intelligence. Once again the military demonstrated their incompetence in planning for and securing state department documents to travel allies out of country. But sure, Biden said the buck stops with him and that's much better than a president who refuses to take responsibility for anything.
Maybe we should start a thread about the long term failure of the Bush war.

Because Trump made a personal deal with the Taliban giving them notice that America was going to leave. They had a lot of time to prepare for this. The narcissism comes in because he thought he was actually more qualified than anyone else in the state department to make a deal on his own. I know what I don't know. He has no idea what he doesn't know.

And just what were the terms of Trump's deal with the Taliban? And I don't know what Trump would show up at an anti-China soiree. Aren't the Chinese making his daughter even wealthier by giving her special privileges to have her little shoe business conducted there?

And who was President when we withdrew from Afghanistan?

You are worried about Trump and friends having an "anti-China" fund raiser while Biden and company is a hot mess.
First and foremost on the Biden hot mess list is of course the fiasco that is Afghanistan. Pulling out with no plan, leaving Americans behind while the UK and France are actively searching for their citizens unable to get to the airport, and the Taliban now having military equipment, and documents from the US embassy. This is a complete dereliction of duty! Not to mention what the fallout for our Country and allies will be for decades r/t the pathetic response of Biden/Harris. To the hot mess list I also add, sky rocketing inflation, poor response to covid, killed jobs, increase in crime/shootings and esp in large cities, massive government spending, southern border/illegal immigration crisis (which is also adding to the other problems listed).
But by all means, lets just keep talking about Trump, pathetic!
Did you copy and paste this post to Topical News or was it the other way around? Not legal to plagiarize yourself!

Yes and yes!
Silly me, I thought "Topical News" was more appropriate for my post and I didn't want to continue to hijack this thread. But I guess I was wrong cuz it seems y'all don't really want to discuss current events, just want to continue bashing Trump. Oh well.

The evidence actually demonstrates that members who talk about the ongoing danger and delusion of Trumpism ALSO comment frequently about other topical issues and current events. Yes, I guess that makes you wrong.

The terms that Trump set in place were with conditions that were not met, so a new plan was needed. This exit strategy (ie lack of) is all on Biden and his admin.
Meanwhile his communication director is saying that Biden doesn't shy away from questions even though he hasn't answered one single question. Maybe today?
