Steve Bannon, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Lindell and Mike Flynn pushed pro-Trump conspiracy theories at an event advertised as a celebration of an anti-China movement.

Added to correct some misunderstandings: This thread isn't about Donald Trump the person.  It's about the Trump Effect, or Trumpism, which continues to damage our country.

It's not about China.  It's about people who, even by omission-- lend an aura of credibility to people who push conspiracy theories, whether they are "pro-Trump" or not.

‘This is warfare:’ Trump allies Flynn, Bannon pushed conspiracies at ritzy party backed by Chinese exile

Lindell, Flynn and Bannon.  Mix them up and there's no end to the horror.

I continue to be amazed at the lack of attention these people attract.  They are not just "Trump allies".  This is a network of unstable and dangerous people.

And I continue to be amazed at the lack of attention to the very real problems that will affect the Country that the current President and admin are either outright causing or just ignoring. They are completely incompetent and IMO a complete train wreck!

You are worried about Trump and friends having an "anti-China" fund raiser while Biden and company is a hot mess.

First and foremost on the Biden hot mess list is of course the fiasco that is Afghanistan. Pulling out with no plan, leaving Americans behind while the UK and France are actively searching for their citizens unable to get to the airport, and the Taliban now having military equipment, and documents from the US embassy. This is a complete dereliction of duty! Not to mention what the fallout for our Country and allies will be for decades r/t the pathetic response of Biden/Harris. To the hot mess list I also add, sky rocketing inflation, poor response to covid, killed jobs, increase in crime/shootings and esp in large cities, massive government spending, southern border/illegal immigration crisis (which is also adding to the other problems listed).

But by all means, lets just keep talking about Trump, pathetic!

Well said!

I was thinking the same thoughts while skimming over the 3 or 4 pages of debate on if Trump is a narcissist.

I guess I wasn't direct enough when I sought to make it clear my issue was not the association with Trump as follows:

They are not just "Trump allies".  This is a network of unstable and dangerous people.

Those Trump allies have allies, and so on-- this ripples out until one day you get Marjorie Taylor Greene in congress.

The lack of attention pertains to the media world as well. Only tangentially is this is a blame Trump again post, or as I call him, "Satan's own influencer".  Sadly, and without any bitterness towards most of them, the MAGA crowd believes his lies, and that's very, very bad for all of us.

What can you say about people who don't mind that Bannon was pardoned in advance of his trial for mail fraud and money laundering. even though he ripped off the home team?

I get a little nervous when I hear Flynn say--

“It’s like on the battlefield because this is warfare.  This is warfare that we are in."

--when I know he literally pledged allegiance to "Q" on the Fourth of July last year, the date I am guessing was chosen to emphasize the point.

Mike Flynn swears allegiance to QAnon in Fourth of July video

Both of them should be in prison, not attending 12-hour parties for any reason.

As to the other things, it's my understanding that a president can do more than one thing at a time, and nobody has said Biden would never make a mistake.

The difference here is that even though I know the public sees very little of what goes on behind the scenes at the White House, I trust Biden isn't spending the day glued to cable news, stewing about what someone said about him on Tucker.

It should be noted that Trump deliberately diverted money from the soldiers in Afghanistan to do an end-run around Congress to pay for his wall.

Afghanistan is a hot mess and Trump is a narcissist. Occurring simultaneously!

Assuming for the sake of discussion that Mr. Trump is in fact a narcissist, what does that have to do with the *** show going on in Afghanistan now?  Especially when you consider that Mr. Biden, and his administration, have now been in office for 7 months.

Maybe so.

Biden has days of silence on the topic, then briefly interrupted his vacation to read a scripted address on the topic, and exists stage left without answering one question from the press, then returned to vacation.

Not much here about that.   Instead, it's all about Trump.

About 90% of what I personally hear about my supposed "cult leader " over the past few months is what I read right here in these threads.

Its quite remarkable.

You are still worried about Trump when you should be focusing on the Emperor with no clothes and his no where to be found VP. It is the current administration that is a "network of unstable and dangerous people", and  in case you didn't notice they are the ones in charge now. Aftganistan is way more than a mere "mistake".

Re the funds: If I remember correctly Trump won the case in the supreme court. It was an administrative typr error and in hind sight it is probably a good thing since the Taliban is now in charge and has all of our Equipment/weapons etc. Also, the wall was to help keep out drugs and human traffickers that make drug lords money, not a bad thing IMO. But I guess it was a waste of tax payers money since Biden has just opened the gates and is letting anyone and everyone in even though we don't know who/what they are, or if they have covid either.

Also, you do realize that China is not our friend right?

Trump is a LOSER.  He lost the 2020 election.  However, the real problem are his crazy psycho followers that think he is still president and think that white supremacist leader was good for our country to include those in political power.  So, we will not stop fighting them or those who continue to support him.

The Trump narcissist set the stage for this withdrawal...the terms were negotiated by Trump's State Department. Most of the military planning occurred during Trump's last year in office.

Mr. Biden was under no obligation to continue implementation of any plan developed by the Trump administration.  Considering that he did, he now owns the outcome.  And, when you  consider his opinion of his proposed cabinet he should have developed and implemented a better withdrawal.

“Collectively, this team has secured some of the most defining national security and diplomatic achievements in recent memory — made possible through decades of experience working with our partners,” Biden said Tuesday as he unveiled his national security team.

Having said this, every president since, and including, Mr. Bush share in this fiasco.  Unfortunately, Mr. Biden as the sitting president that oversaw the withdrawal is the one that is going to be remembered for its failures.
