St pete college fall 2013

Published

Hello,

I have read previous posts on here over the last few months regarding admission to SPC's AS Nursing program. I applied for the fall 2013 semester. Are there any applicants out there who also applied? I am playing the waiting game. Do any previous applicants know how long it takes to hear if you are accepted or not, once the application window closes? Thank you:)

I'm not really studying or memorizing ... just amusing myself with how little I retained from high school algebra. I looked at a couple questions on a math practice test and just sort of silently stared into the distance ...

I figure the metric system is something we will utilize in the program so I am going to go ahead and get familiar with it. I am not trying to memorize questions ( maybe some conversions) . It has been 17 years since I've done math problems by hand so a look to refresh my memory may come in handy later :nurse:

I didn't mean to freak anyone out. But just like mommytothree said, and the guy at the testing lab, the test lets you know where your weak and strong points are. and if you do have weak points then they will just let you know so you can get yourself stronger at it.

Its a 5 part test. ENGLISH-wanna make sure you understand main ideas, story information etec. MATH- know your fractions, simple algebra, and volume in metric system. SCIENCE- stuff you learned in A&P 1and 2 and through out life. and if I remember correctly, spelling and punctuation stuff. THe last test was critical thinking--like what you understood the sentence given..

From what I heard from previous nursing students, this is the simplest out of all the ATI tests. It really isn't too hard, just LOOONG :)

sorry guys...I got a few private messages and I cant see them until I have 15 postings...if you need anything, my email is [email protected]

Hey everyone, I ordered my books online and they just came in to the bookstore. I am out of town but was wondering if your book line of credit covered everything or if you had to come out of pocket for some or all of them. Also, I looked on angel for the Tampa General thing, but wasn't able to find anything. Just curious where it is and what it is. I have my ATI testing on the 13th a little nervous about the metric system!

Does anyone have any idea what number they have gotten to on the RN alternate list?

melody08,

They took down the post Tuesday afternoon for the TGH stroke retreat. The last day to sign up was the 29th.

The book lines of credit vary. Mine covered everything (but I got the all ebook package)

Does anyone have any idea what number they have gotten to on the RN alternate list?

Sportsgirl5,

I wish I could answer this for you because I can feel your anxiety. At this point, my only suggestion to you would be to call the HEC campus to try to find out. Sorry I can't be of more help! Best of luck to you!

My book line of credit was 800. However that does not even come close to coverin all the books. The E-PACKAGE (454), plus the DAVIS package (140) plus the TABERS package (131),plus the skills kit (142) alone without tax is 868 (with tax is 930). Thats not including any supplies, patches, etc. I went to the financial aid office and asked for more, they asked me to email them a copy of the book list thats required, the receipt showing it was order and total cost on it, and they increased my book line of credit to 1100$.

So who all is going to the TGH thing on saturday? Show of hands

Has anyone assigned to Baypines V.A. Hospital gotten an email from them regarding mandatory orientation and fingerprinting?

Just an FYI that the syllabi for 2013-2014 Nursing I are now up on the College of Nursing Student Commons in ANGEL. Almost 600 pages of fun!
