Hello,

I have read previous posts on here over the last few months regarding admission to SPC's AS Nursing program. I applied for the fall 2013 semester. Are there any applicants out there who also applied? I am playing the waiting game. Do any previous applicants know how long it takes to hear if you are accepted or not, once the application window closes? Thank you:)

For anyone who is going to have the syllabi professionally printed (no way is my little HP printer up to this challenge), OfficeDepot.com has a 30% off coupon for their printing services that expires on Aug. 24. You can upload the syllabus files to their website and set everything up, then just pick up the printed copies at your Office Depot store when they're ready. You can pay extra for binding; I'm just having mine printed on 3-hole paper because I already have binders.

With the coupon, the cost to print both is about $43.

Thank You Highwaygirl!!! That was so nice of you to post that coupon. I was just wondering, what "both" items are you having printed? Is it COMPLETE NUR 1021C MODULE/SYLLABUS 2013-2014 AND NUR 1021C CLINICAL GUIDE 2013-2014 ?

Are you printing the 3rd link too? (NUR 1021C MODULE/SYLLABUS BY UNIT 2013-2014 )

I am just a tad confused because there are several links.... Thank You

Sorry, where are you finding this syllabus under? I looked everywhere on angel and I know that you just posted the links but I just wanted to make sure that I can access everything.

And Highwaygirl, do you know if the tax exemption would apply to printing the syllabus if we choose to print it out within the next 2 days?

I just called Office Depot and YES you can use the tax exemption if you do it this weekend.

Can someone tell me why you need to print out the syllabus? Sorry, I thought I heard they would provide you with one.

In the past, the bookstore has sold copies of the syllabus. The clerk told me they are not allowed to do that this year. So if a student wants a printed copy they have to print it themselves.

I'd love it if the school provided one for each student, but that's almost 600 pages of paper per student ... times several hundred students covering all four levels of Nursing.

My total online included tax, so I'll see if I can get them to give me a refund of that when I pick up my syllabi tomorrow in the store. I did everything online so there was no way to exclude sales tax.

Actually my total online with that coupon was 34.38 (that included 2.27 in tax) so the coupon knocked the total price down from 43$ to 32$. Nice little saving to have both the syllabus and clinical guide printed.

Teammurse, they provide you a online copy, they dont provide you a print copy. you want the print version, you have to print it yourself is what they meant.

Sorry, didn't see this until now. I printed out the first two links. The third link appears to be the large PDFs broken down into smaller files, by unit. Maybe they provide those so you can print a little bit at a time, as the information is covered in class?

Mhassan77, I thought that Davis and Taber are part of the e-book package? These are both marked as "package component": what am I missing?

Sorry meant the DAVIS package (which includes the TABERS) and the prentice package
