Well, this is a 'problem' that I bet not many of you have. I am a new school nurse at a Catholic school ages pk-8 and recently got an email from my VP stated we got a $2000 grant for health and fitness stuff and asking what we need. Honestly, it seems to me we have most of the basics to get by and I'm so new I just don't know where the $$ would be best spent. What would you all do if you were in my position? Thanks in advance.
Spacers for the asthmatics. They're not always included with the RX (I don't know why not), and they can cost $10 a pop.
Good suggestion. I have wondered about this .... I have a handful of asthmatics with no spacers and didn't know if there was a problem with my getting one to use with an MDI if the family didn't provide it.

Your local chapter of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation may help cover the cost. Our district works with our cities local chapter and they give each school a set number of supplies and even a neb machine depending on your population.
