Wow! Though I should be surprised, being the jaded, old nurse that I am, somehow I'm not.  It is telling though that this is not some disreputable facility in podunk USA, but an actual state agency-SMH!

Glad I'm not likely to be in Nebraska anytime soon.  I wonder if they require flu, MMR and TB testing?

I guess the patients in state run facilities in Nebraska have no right to expect that their staff won't spread vaccine preventable diseases to them when they go for care.

Actually, it's an added $2500 on your hiring bonus if you don't have those as well...

Just my guess.

These are strange times. Soon having open sores and oozing pustules on prominent display, complimented by a strong compulsion to pick one’s nose 24/7, will be a source of pride and earn one a fast track to the upper echelons of healthcare management. Yay ?

Yet..

About the ad in the OP. I’s probably smart marketing if you want to receive many job applications, but I have to wonder how potential patients react if they see it? Maybe it’s just me, but given the choice I would rather go to a clinic or hospital that employed only vaccinated staff.

Indeed.  The insurers and those who promote  "shopping around" for healthcare should wonder why potential patients would want to frequent a health facility that doesn't require staff to follow public health recommendations or scientific guidance during a public health crisis.

Come to hospital XYZ to have your procedure.  Our staff are fully vaccinated and trust that science of modern medicine.

I don't want to make this into an anti/pro union thing. BUT...even if that does have something to do with this, it's not the union touting this as a recruitment ploy...
