Accident tag

I've had a bunch of little ones this week have accidents and need to use a change of clothes from my supply. I am considering making a little tag to go with the clothes that lets the parent's know where the clothes came from and if they can send them back.

Does anyone do something like this?

I print the following on small strips of paper and staple to bag of dirty clothing.

Your child borrowed clothing from the clinic today. Please wash the clothing and return to the clinic as soon as possible. The clothing we have to loan to students for wardrobe malfunctions/accidents was donated and is limited by quantity of sizes. Kindergarten students - please pack in their backpack an extra full set of clothing in a gallon ziplock bag labeled with your child's name.

I use the same as above.

Yep I use something similar. I mean the note. Not the baseball bat. ;)

Nope. Kids bring their own clothes and keep them in either the class or their backpack or the parents have to come in. I do give them a bag for their soiled clothes though.

We have tried that with little success. Sometimes we really don't mind because the family is so poor the extra outfit is a good thing. Other times we just don't get it back. This year we are trying to have parents send in a change of clothes. Now it is kind of where to store them...

I got out of the clothing business 15 years ago...parents can send a change for pee accidents that can be changed by the child...I call them to school to change the poop accidents whether they have a change of clothes here or not.

I send out a letter with the first day packets, asking for parents to send extra clothing to school for potty accidents, cafeteria spills, bloody noses, recess mud, etc.

Mostly the kiddos go to our family resource person for clothes, but she has a note that she sends home asking for clothes to be washed and returned (she usually ends up re-washing them anyway). If I change a kids clothes because of blood drippage I send home a note that explains why their student is in different clothes.

Side note: I thought this post was going to be about a new game our PE teacher is having the kids play, "Toe-touch tag" where the object is to stomp on someone else's toe to get them "out". Accident tag would be a better name for this novel idea of a game.

Do you leave a horse head in their bed?

Ugh. Yesterday was miserable. Not so much toe injuries as head bumps from kids looking down at everyone else's feet and running into each other.:sarcastic::banghead:
