Scheduled my exam! Any one else testing next week? (July 7th)

Published

I graduated on May 12th and it's been a LONG wait for the state to finally issue authorization to test with Pearson. July 7th at 8 AM is the big day.

Our nursing program gave each graduating nurse a scholarship "gift" of the Kaplan 4-day NCLEX prep. I've been doing practice Q-Bank questions nearly every day. So far, I'm doing pretty well on the trainers & Q-Banks. I simply cannot wait to get this over & done with. I have a job lined up and I cannot start until I pass the NCLEX, per their policy.

Anyone else taking their exam next week?

My exam stopped at 81 questions . I know I got the last question right but I don't know if that's a good sign . hope I passed !

Soparano,

I take my readiness test (and last day of Kaplan 4 day review) tomorrow. Do you think Kaplan really got you prepared? Did you use the tree?? CONGRATS btw, cant wait to be in your shoes!!!

Yes! Most definitely. I did 75 Qbanks per day (6 days a week) for 3 weeks. Took 5 days off for vacation. And then back to 75 questions per day for a week and a half before I took the exam. I think the key is remediating each question, whether you had it right or wrong. I also like how they show you how many answers you changed and whether you went from incorrect to correct or vice-versa. At the beginning, I had quite a few that were right and I second-guessed myself and changed it. It got me to trust my gut instinct :)

Good luck! :D

I think you probably passed. But I feel your pain. You don't know until you see it on your Quick Results. But finishing in 81 questions is a really good sign!!!! :)

Reading this thread has given me so many missed emotions. Congrats to everyone that passed their boards! I recently graduated on June 13 and I'm scheduled to take NCLEX on Tuesday July 14 @ 8am. I am beyond nervous right now. I have mainly been using Kaplan Qbank and find some of their questions to be quite difficult. I'm just really nervous as of right now :nailbiting:

I think it's good that it ended on one that you know you got right! I'm holding good thoughts for you! :)

Thanks!! Just took my readiness and got a 64%. Not sure how I feel about it :/

I can't wait for these 48 hours to be up . I also did the pVt and got the good pop up . But I don't know how accurate that is . I'll be waiting for the results 😅

You're in the home stretch! I personally felt Kaplan was more difficult than NCLEX. If you're scoring well on Kaplan, have every confidence that you're well prepared. Good luck on Tuesday! We'll be here cheering you on :D

Hi, guys... I've been keeping up with this post ever since Tuesday July, 7th, the day I took the NCLEX exam. I was scheduled to be there at 11:30 but I arrived maybe around 10:50 I would like to share my experience.... My test ended around 85 questions and yes the 48hour wait is beyond nerve racking and I constantly stalked pearson vue for my results. Good news, I found out I PASSED yesterday! My results were posted around 12:30pm. The only studied was the Hurst Review... my school used ATI but me and many other classmates purchased Hurst review. Each classmate that I have spoken to has passed as well. My advice to upcoming test takers is...if you need a refresher on core content Hurst review does a great job and there are also 6 tests that you could take after you have studied the material that are very similar to NCLEX, as a matter-of-fact NCLEX was much easier than the test on Hurst Review, in my opinion. There are a lot of great reviews out there for the NCLEX but I would also advise upcoming test takers to only stick to one review and not confuse yourself using too many different sources. This will increase your level of anxiety.... NOT HEALTHY!! Congratulations to everyone that passed and good luck to all upcoming test takers. You all will do well, just breathe! All the hard work pays off.

64 on the readiness is GREAT! Anything over 60 is what you want. Technically, you only need 58% above the passing line to pass NCLEX. So, you can do it! :)
