Schedule question A&P1 and Chemistry????

I quit working with Anatomy and Chem combo'd. It was kicking my butt! I have 2 kids as well 13 and 2. My house is really messy ATM but I've got A's. it's doable but personally I don't recommend doing it working and having kids. It's just a lot at once.

Loans... I decided that this was a singular goal and I was going to begin treating it as such. I took out grants, loans, and have a few scholarships. We cut back (no more cable, slower speed Internet, sold one of the cars that was on payments bought a cheap car off Craig's list to replace it. Clothes for the kids and myself started coming from thrift, walmart, target. No more eating out not even fast food. It basically sucks lol

I wouldn't suggest taking both together considering you work and have two children to care for. I think both are very doable together for someone who doesn't have that level of responsibility outside of school. I'd split them up and take A&P and Chem separate.

My school won't allow A&P and Chem to be taken together, too many people failed. I would split them up.

I have recently have taken both (not at the same time) but I can say that I would not recommend it. A&P, at least at my school, requires a lot of memorization and was very time consuming. The list of things we needed to know for the muscles unit alone had over 950 terms, actions, insertions, with spelling! And don't even get me started on hormones! Chemistry on the other hand was A LOT of math calculations, memorizing chemical compounds and their charges, and general problem solving. The two classes would be hard to take together both from a time standpoint, and because they require your brain to work differently. If you are going into the medical field having a strong A&P ability is going be very important. Don't sacrifice your sanity, grade, and your comprehension to save a semester. ~ just my 2 cents

If you're getting ready to head into nursing school, the work might be a good transition. Nursing school isn't going to be a walk in the park either, and this way you will have a chance to see how the extra work is going to affect your home life. I took A&P and Chem together, but I was already familiar with the Chem terms so it wasn't that hard for me. I got a B in Chem and a B+ in A&P, plus I was taking Algebra. Now I'm taking A&P2, Micro and Stats. I work part-time too, but I don't have kids (just a husband). It's hard but it's also nothing compared to what nursing school will be so I'm using this as preparation for what an even more intense program is going to look like.

I took AP 2 and Micro together, and it has worked out pretty well. I'm taking Chemistry I and II this summer.

My school wouldn't allow you to take any A&P courses before Chemistry, I had to get permission from the program adviser - which was odd considering when I had worked on my bachelors I had already taken chemistry...maybe it was a different one, I just stopped asking why after while...but yes, I took A&P I with chemistry. And it wasn't bad honestly!

I am currently in micro and chem together an don't find it that difficult. Chem hasn't really been that hard it time consuming. I read the book, go over notes, and do the homework.

I did Chem, Biology and A&P 1 in the same semester (I called my BioAnatIstry semester), and I worked and I have a son. I was ALOT, and there were times when I thought I would go insane, but I ended up with 2 Bs and an A, so it is do-able (it's not easy, but it is do-able). FYI - nursing school is WAY harder; I'd go back to my BioAnatIstry semester any day!!!
