  1. It all depends on the pre-reqs of the BSN program you are applying for. As long as you have all of them and you are accepted into the program - you'll be good as it normally takes two years (2 1/2 for some) to complete your BSN.
  2. Currently stethoscope shopping and I wanted to get some opinions on a few I was thinking about ordering to try out. During my Phlebotomy clinical I just wasn't a big fan of the Littmann they had me use, I believe it was the Lightweight. Since then I have 'tried out' a few in passing, but not in a clinical setting...and I just can't decide. 1. Prestige medical...I loved this one. I have heard complaints about the weight but that has been what I liked the most about it! I was able to hear clearly and for the short time I had it it was comfortable...I really liked it! 2. Omron, same as the prestige as far as weight and sterdyness...couldn't hear as well, but that could've just been me since I only messed with it for a second. 3. ADC...was meh. I have heard good things about it, but they had none in stock other than a used display one. Please share your thoughts with me and I'd take any others! (Also considering a Littmann Classic II, but I'd really like to hear about different ones) PS. I was going to delete this post because I found the other thread. Seems like you can't delete though
  3. My school wouldn't allow you to take any A&P courses before Chemistry, I had to get permission from the program adviser - which was odd considering when I had worked on my bachelors I had already taken chemistry...maybe it was a different one, I just stopped asking why after while...but yes, I took A&P I with chemistry. And it wasn't bad honestly!
  4. Hey! I'm Nicole, 26 years old, and I'm very excited to be here. I am a new nursing student, beginning this fall, and I have been accepted into my #1 choice to work on my ADN - I was also accepted into a few universities for my BSN, however due to cost I had to turn those down. Before this I obtained my bachelors in psychology and did nothing with it. I then went on to become a professional gamer and once I had my daughter I became a doula...which sparked my interest in nursing! I hope to become a midwife sometime down the road... we shall see. Anyway, I'm very excited to be here and ready to get started. I know it is going to be a hard road but it's going to be worth it in the end. I hope to get to know all of you! My partner is in medical school and will be starting her residency soon...so I hope to find that extra support here.
  5. My college has A&P together in two separate parts, however the university I attended had them separated as well. I would probably do micro with anatomy. For me, I took micro with APII and it was not hard at all.
  6. I applied to several programs in the state of Texas and Oklahoma. I received two rejections from the BSN programs I was really hoping to get into BUT I was accepted into my 1st choice for ADN!
