Nurse recruiter at Atlantic Health
I called Morristown HR, because I too had a few questions. They told me that I may not receive a reply until May since they know that is teh graduation time. I hope that helps. What does you application status say?...Just curious.

Why 1/2 normal saline?
Well to be honest, I cant really explain why 1/2 NS would be ordered for the patient for a simple UTI and AKI. The kidney injury is evidently due to the BUN and creatinine. With you stating that patient was once on lasix gives me the hint of a possible PMH of CHF which could also be the reason why she has an AKI and UTI (not enough perfusion to the kidneys). If that is the case she would be at a high risk of fluid overload and cerebral edema (chances are higher if old). See if the doctor can change it to a NSS instead?....but this is just my opinion and assumption anyways. lol. I'm only a student nurse.

Thank you. I have been working full-time, in nursing school full-time and have a daughter, but somehow, I find the time to keep checking. I guess its time to join the gym lol.

Did anyone get a position at NYP with a GPA below a 3.0. I used on be on the Deans list at a previous school, and transferred in to the nursing program that I am currently in and should graduate with a 3.9. I work fulltime for the past 2.5 years as a nursing assistant where I do phlebotomy, EKGs and basic patient care. Do I have a chance at this?

Received my 3rd rejection today.
It is very sad that you were not advised to re-take the sciences that are required for nursing to improve your nursing GPA. However, I can speak from personal experiences how disappointing it could to be told so many times that what you are doing is not good enough. I was at a point where I had a 3.8 GPA and because I just transferred un the school, I was waitlisted. Then I was given a letter of guaranteed acceptance, and because I did not want to default on my financial aid, and I had all the credits needed, I took a business class just for the curiosity of it, and of course I failed it (Don't know what the hell I was thinking). Then, I was given a letter stating that my seat was withdrawn. I was devastated. I tried again, retook the class, passed with a B+ and was denied again. In the end I transferred to another school, and the two years that I would spend to get an associate, I will just spend the same amount of time to get a bachelors. Classes for me starts next month and nothing is more exciting than that feeling. Just do not give up. Nothing good in life comes by easily. You have a dream, fulfill it no matter the circumstances.

Class of 2016
I didn't know that they have a program starting in the spring. I'm a single mom also, and hoping to start this year winter. By the way, wish you all the best with your teas this October. I also have mine this month on the 24th.

Need a 60% on TEAS

Waiting on acceptance/rejection letters
@ Ms. Sweetheart I'll pray for you too . Because I work during the day and don't get home until nights, the mailman is very lucky, because I would be on his tail like white on rice. I have to say though, I am happy that I work in the doctors office as a secretary since I am able to assist him when he does small in office surgeries, and I dress wounds for patients after surgery. Sometimes I pretend in my mind like I am officially working as a nurse hehehe...
