There was a state of emergency and the national guard was called out. Doesn't sound like anarchy and the state abandoning the people to the point that a teenager needed to step in and be all heroic.

The police were not able to fully use their powers to contain the riot. To the point where the kid had to? No. I do not believe he is a hero either.

Perhaps if the left didn't demonize him as all the bad words then the conservative media wouldn't have pushed the "hero" rhetoric?

Both sides are ridiculous.

Or maybe if the right didn't elevate him to hero status, which they did right away, the left wouldn't have demonized him?

There are some bad police who should be disciplined for their bad actions, but I know several good ones. In fact I was stranded when my scooter quit, and a police lady got someone with a pickup truck, and the driver loaded my scooter on his truck and the police lady invited me into the front seat of her car, and the truck driver delivered my scooter to my home and the police lady took me home in her car.

Yes, I rejoiced when he was declared innocent. The only unwise activity I saw him perform was his taking that AKautomatic rifle. He should have had a less lethal weapon.

It wasn't an "AKautomatic", it was a semiautomatic AR 15.
