Ridiculous Reasons to See the Nurse

So, we really need a place to log the ridiculous reasons some kids have to get out of class and come see the nurse. You know, those pressing medical problems like, "my lips hurt." I had that one today.

Earlier this year I had a student come see me because she had a hair on her tongue!!

Somewhere there is a teacher giving these kids a clinic pass for these visits!

What are the crazy reasons to see the nurse at your clinic??

Ok, so today is was dog poop removal day - NOT! Apparently I am the only one in the entire school who can do that :banghead:

However, in spite of it all, I love my kiddos.:inlove: I was floored today when I received candy, flowers, a balloon, and A&W Root Beer ( I think they were having a special for Nurses Day!), a special note from my AP, and lots of hugs.. all for Nurses Day! . Best of all, I received bunches of cards from various grade levels. I know you all know what I mean when I say they write the funniest things in their cards. I will treasure each one always:)

So, when you see me here next time complaining, keep in mind I really do love my job. Dog poo and all!

Nope, nope, nope. How on earth could this be considered a medical issue? One time I had this happen as well. I drew the line right there. I would throw my own shoes away before cleaning dog poop off them. Gross.

One entire first grade class is c/o ear aches today (got a sub teacher). One K kid came to tell me his nose was bleeding, I saw no blood until he stuck his finger up his nose and pulled it out with blood on it.....Oh it's been a day!

A few girls have been coming down to me with the Kendall Jenner Lip Challenge in full bloom. Luckily no permanent damage, but I think I may have to put out an email.

OMG GAG!! I had a girl that said she coughed up something bloody and took a picture of it. I was NOT looking at it. I do not do well with phlem. I told her to keep it and show her parents.

Ive seen a lot of girls who have done it 😁😁 You suction your lips in to a shot glass until they look plumper. Hint- it usually doesn't work ;)
