Hello All,

Starting a thread for all of you who have applied to Los Medanos for the fall 2015 ADN program. I submitted my application for the program back in February. I recieved a recipt saying that they recieved my app. Then last week I recieved a letter in the mail saying that all my pre-reqs have been approved and that they will make announcements as to which students get in I believe in May this year. Who else has applied? Any students that are currently in the Los Medanos program please feel free to leave any advice

Hi I applied to Los Medanos! I most likely will not go there if I'm accepted, which will give other students a chance. I got recently got into Contra Costa Nursing program and will be attending there. Good luck ;)

Thank You so much for responding. When did Los Medanos inform you that you were accepted? Did you apply for their Fall 2015 program or Spring 2015? Gosh I hope I hear from them soon. The wait is always the hardest part.

Good luck to you on being accepted. Thats the hardest part is getting into a program, especially since northern Cali schools have become so impacted. When do you start your program?

Hi! I haven't heard for Los Medanos college yet. I start contra Costa college in August. I'm so excited. I don't think we will hear from Los Medanos until the end of May.

Hey all!

Just curious for some input....want to make sure I am understanding LMC's acceptance procedure.

It says online that May 15th is the date in which the Qualified Applicants List comes out and the 28th is the day that the Random Selection results come out.

Does this mean that the 15th will simply tell us who will be entered in the lottery for the 28th?

Want to make sure that if I see my name on the list for the 15th I don't get too excitied lol

I didnt even notice the qualified applicants list or the date of the random selection process. Guess I need to go back online to do some re-reading. But thats an excellent question that I too would like to know. I hope we hear something by the 15th, that would just make my month that much greater.

I also applied to 2 other JC's for ADN. I am on the alternate (waitlist) for San Joaquin.

Thank you ligriffin for sharing the information with me. It appears to me that on May 15th the applicants that are qualified to be in the lottery selection will be announced on that day. Then on May 28th the lottery will take place.

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for both of us! Who knows, maybe you and I will be classmates :)

Waiting a week to see if we are qualified is going to be hard...but 2 weeks to see if we are picked in lottery?! .... One day feels like a week :nailbiting:

I know right! Well starting today we are just going to start having wishful thinking and speak it into existence that not only will both of our names be on that "qualified selection list" but our names/number will also be choosen in the lottery. Were gonna make it.... :up:

Does anyone know what is going on with the Qualified Applicant list?

I tried going to the nursing homepage and nothing is different...
