Recycled topics (vent)

Does anyone else pick up on how there is a core set of topics that get recycled, e.g. "My GPA is 0.00001, can I handle nursing school?"

What subjects drive you to distraction after seeing them again and again?

(Forgive me if this post is redux- I honestly don't remember seeing it before...;))

The ones that really get me are where brand-spanking-new nurses want help finding a poop-free nursing job. At what point did you realize you were studying to become a nurse...or did you not?:roflmao:

When I read this type of thread title, I do have to roll my eyes... :sarcastic:

It's even worse when they start with, "I promised myself I would come here and write about it when I finally passed NCLEX." (followed by an 8,000,000 word essay that no mortal being has the time to read).

I think anyone who starts a new thread on the :shudder: PVT needs to have their keyboard/entire computer taken away until they get their results. Seriously, is 48 hours (the vast majority of states/Quick Results) going to kill anyone?

Anything that includes this line. If all the poster wants is unicorns and flowers, go somewhere else where there aren't nurses who are actually in the trenches and who know the real deal who are going to give a dose of reality.

Not necessarily a recycled thread, but the person posts a question 5 years ago and hasn't been on the site since the post. A new member comes along and ask the OP a question expecting an answer from someone that hasn't been active in 5 yrs.

I hate titles with all those initials that mean nothing to most of us: HELP!!!!! Anybody on here applying to JSLVPOG Spring quarter???? Then there's the ever-popular "Everybody here's so mean to me." And anything involving the words Overweight or Old Nurses, rude doctors, or I don't like poop, failed every course in first quarter of nursing school but can I still be a nurse?

This!!! Or when they want you to compare JVDAS, TRBBNXS, LCCB, and TGGF. Because we've all attended multiple schools in close geographic proximity!

The best is when they turn on a dime and start dishing out major attitude as soon as they're met with resistance. Those are fun.

Can anyone tell me why the records office at Podunk Central Community College of the Internet has not acknowledged whether or not they got my transcripts? I sent them yesterday! Sooooooooo stressed!
