Random question of the day: What's your baseline blood pressure?

Nurses Stress 101

Published

Checked my BP at work yesterday and it was a whopping 90/55 hr 56. That's pretty normal for me though. My Co worker checked hers and it was 140/85 hr 79.

What are your baseline vitals?

My last numbers were 93/63, HR 69 SpO2 97% which is all about my normal.

JUst took by blood pressure, it was 112/75. When I'm sitting in a chair, my heart rate is in the mid-80s to 90s. When I first wake up in the morning, it's mid-70s.

before nursing 110's over 80'shr 80's

After nursing 130's to 140's over 95 hr 100 to 125 while at work.

sometimes while running around like a fool my rr is about 25

Taking propranolol helps bring the hr to 70's , but it's prescribed for migraines, not b/p or hr

106/70. Like always until end of shift. Then it's more like 300/198.

Bp: 108/72 Hr: 110-120 (really made it hard for my partner in lab to get my apical pulse for our test)

BP = low 100s SPB and 60s DBP. Most recent = 106/64

Resting HR in the mid-60s. Before I starting running regularly, my resting HR was in the low 80s.

According to the personal pulse ox device I carry with me on shift to spot-check my patients in the absence of a functioning Dynamap (sigh), my SpO2 is 99-100% on room air.

BP 110s/70s HR 70s at baseline RR 18 Temp 97ish spo2 98-99% - has never been 100%. When I get a fever its usually low grade because baseline temp is low. At work, BP is 120s/80s, HR 90s-110s.

Nursing school as well, I actually love working w my Electronic steth(not to brag but... Hearing loss so. ) & my baseline BP is about 115/85 RA 99% pulse 72

130s/80s but I have high blood pressure.

Bp 120/75ish, pulse often in the 90s, only need to be slightly stressed and its up to 120. I do find it fascinating to pop on the pulse ox and take some slow deep breaths, down it goes into the 70s. I find it fascinating to be able to actually see the result of such a simple relaxation technique. How do some of you guys know your resp rate, as soon as I try to count I start overthinking it and panic "oh no I've forgotten how to breathe, how many times am I supposed to do this, should I breathe in now, do I feel like I need to breathe in now, oh oh oh I need to breathe out right now, no no too much got to breathe in, no out, no in, this...is...exhausting...how do I do this for like forever" nightmare :cyclops:

90s-100s/50s-60s. HR is 40s-50s. Sp02 is 100. There seem to be a lot of us who run pretty low in the BP/HR areas on AN! I would have thought that the stresses of nursing would make more of us hypertensive and tachycardic. I guess it's all the exercise we get at our jobs?

BP systolic 95-110s/60-70, baseline HR 90s-110s (70s if I am sleeping).
