Published

How many people had 75 questions on the NCLEX RN and failed versus how many had 75 and passed?

Took the NCLEX in San Diego on the 12th of Oct, 75 questions in less than an hour, still no results! I quess that's either real good or real bad! California BRN blows:angryfire

75 questions?? That's it??????? I sat boards for two whole *(&^%#!!ing days and there were way more than 75 questions!!!

Yes. Those were the good old days and we had to wait for weeks before our results came in the mail. Now smart people know how to access their results in a matter of days. And some get a lot more than 75 questions but still doesn't take 2 days.

Specializes in cardiac.

I also passed at 75 questions.

July for me, three-hour drive to Sacramento because San Francisco was full. Over a thousand bodies in one room where the tension was so thick you could cut it.

75 questions.....it just doesn't seem fair.....I knew the boards were computerized and it wasn't over two days anymore but 75..........:o
If it's any consolation to you, the questions get progressively harder the more you answer correctly..By the end of my 75 questions, there were a couple that I swear were written in gibberish..I had to guess, because I had never even heard of the meds they were talking about. I passed though, so I must have been doing pretty well. The questions are very heavy on critical thinking. They're not the kind of questions you can answer by memorizing stuff..I have respect for the people who took it the old school way though and had to wait 3 MONTHS??!!?? After 2 days, I was a wreck! Thank you, quick results!:lol2:

If you do an allnurses search on the words "NCLEX 75 Questions Poll" you will get the results of a poll done in May about those who passed/failed with 75 questions. https://allnurses.com/forums/f118/75-questions-nclex-pass-fail-159484.html?highlight=NCLEX+Questions+Poll

Hopefully this will work as I had to type in the address manually. Also, a good place to ask questions about the NCLEX is in the NCLEX forum under the nursing student forum. Hope this helps, good luck!

I took the NCLEX this morning and the screen went blank at 75 questions. I hope this means I passed:uhoh3:

When my mom took boards 25 yrs ago also by 2 day paper/pencil, my dad says the women came crying out of the testing room from the tension.
