Good grief. America's Frontline Doctors, a group of quacks who claim to know more than actual experts are pushing the use of ineffective parasite med to prevent and or treat COVID.

On a personal note, my hubby works for a farm store and has overheard customers explaining to each other how to dose animal wormer for people. This is in a community that is anti-mask, anti-vaccine, let's just all get infected. Up until, you know, they need hospitalization .

Veterinary Ivermectin is being used by humans in desperation and some people have been harmed because of it.  There is no known safe and effective dosing for treatment or prevention of covid.

It's interesting that you seem to be promoting use of the drug for covid when it's clearly wrong. There's no question that there is insufficient data or evidence to support such behavior or thinking and placing a veneer of professional wisdom on the behavior is dangerous.

What is dangerous about using a safe drug if one has COVID-19, if one is prescribed it by a medical doctor. There are a body of highly published medical doctors who have looked at the research and they find it sufficient and are prescribing it. If the drug is extremely safe, what is the harm? As I said in another comment, sure , tell people to never take veterinary ivermectin, make a giant PSA about it.

There are a group of doctors that support Ivermectin along with other treatments such as steroids, vitamin D, Vitamin C and thiamine.  They are critical care Dr's.  They do not support taking the veterinary form of it meant for horses etc, but a dose of 5mg I believe for humans prescribed by a Dr.  They are not antivax.  They are front line critical care doctors who devised treatment protocols in their efforts to keep people alive when we had no treatments and no guidance for covid.

I'm not an expert, but I have heard of the use of antiparasitics helping people with hopeless cancer, but it was not ivermectin.  Also I've read of stage 4 cancer patients sent home to die that went into remission on IV Vitamin C that was given at a private clinic in Australia.  Research on IV Vitamin C is being done for cancer.

You've strayed into a different conversation.  This thread is about people self medicating with veterinary medications, specifically ivermectin. You may not be aware of that reality and behavior in gullible populations, but, that is the topic of the thread.  If you want to talk about valid reasons to take the drug, that would be a different thread...better suited elsewhere.

name calling. Okay.  Character attacks come when you have no serious points to make. And so it stands, Ivermectin is a safe drug.  Goodbye.

Love you too, amigo ??????. Aww, you don't like my sense of humor ?????

I've heard of suction cups that will increase the size of breasts; and don't forget herbal forms of Viagra so people don't have to deal with those pesky prescriptions and all sorts of other secrets that doctors refuse to tell you.  FLCCC? You are kidding yourself.  Remember, because you said it yourself, you are no expert so it's very easy to get sucked in by quacks.

I met a couple of patients during my nursing training who had good results from IV vitamin C and IV chelation.

The problem is though while a couple of people may have a good response to a specific treatment doesnt mean everyone will have the same response. It's good that further study is being done into this, at the moment the statistical correlation suggests that postive results are random rather than an actual proven response

If the results of a study cant be generalised to the larger population, they arent significant

The FLCCC is a group of front line critical care doctors saving lives when there was no treatment.  They collaborated and shared what help save people's lives based on their training, knowledge and experience.  I find it sad they you are so disrespectful toward them.   They are most definitely not quacks!

If they can't be reproduced by other researchers, then yes, they can't be validated.  I remember when chelation was all the rage.  If it worked, we'd still be doing it.  Same for Vitamin C.  Since you didn't post any studies, this is just a story from the eyes  a beginning nursing student.

Sez you.  Until they have evidence they should probably not speak because it encourages "unsophisticated" people to do radical things.  They are enjoying their 15 minutes of fame.  My respect is earned, not given freely but because you have a title and a forum.

I invite others to check them out and make their own decisions about their validity.  For me I do respect them and am thankful these doctors were and are working together collaboratively to save lives.  They were doing it before vaccines were available, not wringing their hands helpless waiting for a possible vaccine.  Now all of sudden because we have a vaccine they have no validity?  Seriously, I'm surprised you are so close minded.  What treatment protocol in particular do you object to?

There is no covid treatment protocol that includes ivermectin.

Just because their name is literally Front Line Covid Critical Care Alliance doesn’t make it so. Doesn’t it make you just a little suspicious that one of the first items on their main page is a request for $$?
