Providence TIP January 2022 (Los Angeles/Orange County)

Hi all,

Starting this thread before the Jan '22 cohort application opens up today (hopefully soon!) I have all the required documents ready to submit, patiently refreshing and hoping the link to apply pops up soon. Let's all connect and keep each other updated on our application process. But for LA area, it’s med-surgical/ tele, float pool, and step down. For this region, I selected more of what I think they’re looking for. 
 

Hi. MemorialCare at Fountain Valley has L&D, I think. 

And Long Beach has whole bunch of peds (Miller's) & adults.

Did you take a look there? Maybe you've already applied, and you are waiting!! ?

To answer some questions, you don’t need an active RN license when submitting the application, but you do need to have it by the start of the program in January 2022. 
 

For someone that works currently for Providence, I don’t know for sure, but I would imagine it’s an internal application.

Does anyone know if Providence (LA or OC) is hiring new grads for the OR? I am only interested in the OR so not really worth applying otherwise. And if so, happen to know when the application period ends? Want to make sure I have enough time to get my LOCs, etc. in order. Thanks.

No worries, thank you for responding! Someone on this thread said that the application asks for three letters of recommendation, but I couldn't find it within the application requirements. I'm currently waiting on two letters of rec from a clinical instructor and my program director, and I was wondering if you'd suggest I wait until I receive the letters before I submit my application or if you think the application would stand strong enough without. 

Also, do you happen to know if the behavioral health unit has openings? I saw that it was in the specialties that may be included, but it wasn't in the job application itself. Behavioral health/psych is the specialty I have the strongest interest in.

I applied for the TIP Fellow and got to schedule my interview for October 19 or 21. I selected Burbank and Mission Hills, Applying fro ICU, NICU or Oncology. Goodluck

Oh!! So should I be concerned I have not been contacted for an interview..? I wasn’t thinking anything of it since the application window closes Oct 12 - I figured they’d wait until then to schedule interviews but I guess not ?

Has anyone else scheduled an interview?

My friend who applied to the OC locations said her application status changed to "under consideration"

I applied to LA locations and haven't seen any changes to my application status.

Has anyone heard back yet?

Hey that’s awesome ! Thanks for sharing that info ! Did your friend apply to the fellowship or the new grad program ? Also, do you know which units your friend applied to ?

Hey, no prob! She applied to the new grad program and applied to CC and ED!
