  1. Also, if I was being complacent. I would’ve seen that some people interviewed for both LA and OC and shrugged my shoulders and didn’t bother asking why. Instead, I’m investigating it and trying to figure out why some of us were told differently. It’s called problem solving, the opposite of being complacent. and I’m not sitting here saying that those who got multiple interviews shouldn’t have got them, but I am saying that if some people did than those of who were told we couldn’t should have too ! And DEFINITIVELY that is the OPPOSITE of COMPLACENT. thanks ☺️
  2. LOL WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ? If the recruiter tells myself and multiple people that you can only interview for more than one location, am I supposed to not believe them? You are trying really hard to sound smart right now, and it’s not working for you. I have it in writing saying that you can’t interview for more than one location, ? so why would I not assume that it was indeed the truth. No one said I was not open to potentiality LOL. What I am open to is LOGIC. And logically if the recruiters have told MULTIPLE people in writing that you cannot interview for both OC and LA, then I would use my brain and believe that they are indeed telling the truth.
  3. You didn’t make a point. That was a very poor way of trying to make a point. No one said they weren’t continuing to apply for jobs. I think you were insinuating that just because I was mentioning it wasn’t fair, I wasn’t looking for other opportunities. I don’t think giving advice is a strength of yours ! Good luck !
  4. And I’m Pretty sure bitcoin and new grad programs are two very different things ??‍♀️ Apparently I’m complacent because I didn’t force Providence to interview me for multiple locations when they told me it was not allowed LOL ? like BYE ✌? I think I’ll pass on your advice, thanks !
  5. LOL are you telling me that it’s my fault for not taking action when they told me no I can’t interview for more than one location ? What else am I supposed to do, force them to interview me ? LOL I have been applying to other places, thanks. It doesn’t change the fact that it’s unfair. Don’t quite understand the point you are trying to make, as if it’s someone else’s fault that they were told they couldn’t interview for two locations and other people were allowed to. I think we are all well aware of other opportunities that are available. I know how to do a Google search, thanks !
  6. I’m really happy for those who got multiple offers, but that’s really unfair for those of us who were told we could only choose one.
  7. Yes I know there was a separate application for both LA and OC locations. I two applied for both, and was told they could only push through my application on one. I know someone else who was also told the same thing after she applied, and she could only choose one. Later she received an offer to interview for both an OC and a LA location. Just before her OC interview they contacted her and told her she couldn’t interview with both and she had to choose one only. Not sure why there’s so many inconsistencies
  8. Sorry about your rejection from St. Joes ! I was told you couldn’t interview for both an OC and LA location so you’re lucky you have an interview with both ! Good luck !
  9. Hey congrats on the offers! When did you hear back from Mission ?
  10. Hey did you interview with Holy Cross for PP? I interviewed with mission for PP and L&D and still haven’t heard anything.
  11. This source that you found does not say it’s specific to California. California has very SPECIFIC laws regarding OT that are different from other states. In California - it’s OT for over 8 hours and over 40 hours unless you are exempt. Nurses are not exempt employees
  12. OT is a huge incentive for nurses, including California nurses. If anyone is telling you you won’t make OT over 8 hours work I would highly consider looking for work elsewhere
  13. All the nurses I have spoken with who work 12s get paid OT for going over the 8 hours and when they go over 40 hours because it’s the law. Regardless of what job you work in California, as long as you aren’t salary
  14. If what you are stating is true. Those hospitals will be facing a low suit soon enough ? nurses are not exempt from OT pay.
  15. Well that’s unfortunate, sorry to hear that. If you look it up it says it’s law in California to pay OT for over 8 hours worked so ??‍♀️ Don’t know what to tell you, other than the info that can be found.
