President Biden thread

Published

Wow.  No one has started such a thread yet?

After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days,  apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.

Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week,  by the end of April.

It's simply disingenuous that Trump supporters are now concerned about the verbal style or weaknesses of a politician...it's almost like they've never heard their political hero speak publicly.

True.  However, the conservatives that support the Trump GOP are also trying to distract from the fact that they and Fox Noise are having a meltdown over the testimony of the Capitol policemen who dared to tell the truth and testified against their white nationalist LOSER leader, Trump.

The testimony was stunning. Republican legislators seem to be as unaware of that testimony as they preferred to be about Trump's tweets or inappropriate comments. Representative Raskin wasn't mincing words with a specific republican liar during a later meeting.

What is it with you guys trying to find the person with the least amount of expert knowledge on any topic and pretending their opinion matters?

Who cares what Brit or Tucker thinks about anything other than being a talking head for money?  Who cares who bested who when Rand Paul goes after Fauci at Senate hearings? One is qualified to opine, the other should pay taxpayers back for filming his freebie campaign theatrics.

When Trump added one of his fans to the Covid Task Force did it take an extra-long time to make sure the real experts would be embarrassed by his pseudo-medical nonsense?

Or, let's have Peter Navarro commandeer the Covid Task Force meeting! He's head of the Trade Commission!

I get it that Trump himself set the bar for competence abysmally low. How long before knowing what you're talking about becomes cool again?

To be fair every new network has a go to analyst that they use to analyze the political situation of the day.

You might not like what he has to say but he has a very impressive resume in the media for decades, including Chief White House correspondent for ABC.  He's quite qualified to offer political analyst as anyone.

I intended to make a distinction between political analysis, and political analysis mixed with an unqualified person chiming in on whether or not it's safe for kids to return to the classroom, or whether or not Brit Hume is qualified to diagnose someone's cognitive status.

I find that lately the line between political commentary and the policy issues at the center of the political analysis become more and more blurred. You're right, though-- both sides do this to some degree.

I've been watching Brit since before Bill Clinton went off on him for asking a supposedly inappropriate question at a Ruth Bader Ginsburg press conference, and find him one of the more likeable pundits over the years.

I'm sorry if that was not clear enough in my writing.

What do you suppose really happened to him? Moral/ethical issues or more clinical mental health ones?

Brain mets from his prostate cancer?  I saw him once in a restaurant with two much younger beautiful women.......tertiary syphilis?  His devolution does cause a lot of pondering.  The son that sticks with him doesn't sound very bright when he speaks but his daughter (who sounds like a regular, bright woman) doesn't speak with him anymore.  It's kind of sad to fall so far down.

We do have evidence that Giuliani drinks quite a bit of alcohol...perhaps the decline reflects substance abuse.

Comm'on, do you seriously think it's possible to be around people like Trump, Pompeo and Wilbur Ross etc and not emerge infected with every STDs known to man?

LOL.  Still, you are unable to answer the questions I put out there.  It's quite remarkable. really, how it seems to be impossible to have a discussion about Biden without Trump and the Trump voter being disparaged.

Are you against Biden taking the same cognitive test that Trump took?  If so, why?

Psaki admitted they advise him not to take questions when he is out in public.  Why is that, in your opinion?  Do you agree he shouldn't take questions?

And you think Biden is demented?

After Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy this week decried the House’s new face mask requirement, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) replied with a considered response: “He’s such a moron.”

Mean! But if the dunce cap fits …
