Wow.  No one has started such a thread yet?

After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days,  apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.

Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week,  by the end of April.

We were talking about solutions to the border crisis and how amnesty was brought into the situation from this quote must make sense to someone but not me.

Surprise President's Day visit today in Kyiv, Ukraine. First visit by a U.S President in a war torn country in which U.S does not have a base.

When air raid sirens blared cause Russian MIG plane entered Belarus during his walk with Zelensky,  Biden didn't react---Biden and Zelensky contiued walk to commemorate fallen defenders of Ukraine in Kyiv on Mykhailivska Square.

Alexander Kamyshin is responsible for Ukraine Railway system "running on time" in a war torn country.   His team has had 250 foreign delegations visit Ukraine over past year, including several from the US -- 20hr round trip from Poland to Kyiv.  'Railway was only 90% on time yesterday due to this visit'; Amtrack runs near my home- less than 50% on time  June 2022 stats.

With Ukraine citizens pulling together, can see why Russia has not succeeded so far.

Thank you Captain Obvious. 98% of politics is stagecraft. So what?

The question for me is whether it was effective messaging. Since I'm not a Ukrainian living with a shooting war in my back yard nor a Russian dicator. I couldn't hazard a guess.

Considering Putin's subsequent statement on START, I'd say the message got through.
