Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

As for Putin, I'm sure he appreciated the comical theatre that was playing out, obviously knowing that there was no air raid or that Biden was in no kind danger from a Russian attack.
You want to be careful with those sour grapes, dude.

You think more highly of Putin's theater and messaging that you do of Biden or Zelensky's? It's curious that your opinion reflects a Russian perspective...
QuoteA day after his surprise visit to Kyiv, Biden used a strongly worded address in neighboring Poland to praise allies in Europe for stepping up over the past year and to send a clear message to Russian President Vladimir Putin that "NATO will not be divided, and we will not tire.”
"One year ago, the world was bracing for the fall of Kyiv,” Biden said before a crowd of thousands outside Warsaw's Royal Castle. "I can report: Kyiv stands strong. Kyiv stands proud. It stands tall and, most important, it stands free.”
QuoteBiden was using the trip to prepare allies for an ever-more-complicated stage of the war and to reassure allies in the region that the U.S. was committed for the long haul. He met Tuesday with Moldovan President Maia Sandu — who last week claimed Moscow was behind a plot to overthrow her country's government using external saboteurs — and with his host Polish President Andrzej Duda.
"We have to have security in Europe,” Biden said at the presidential palace. "It's that basic, that simple, that consequential.”
He described NATO as "maybe the most consequential alliance in history,” and he said it's "stronger than it's ever been" despite the Russian leader's hopes that it would fracture over the war in Ukraine.
Duda praised the American president's visit to Kyiv as "spectacular,” saying it "boosted morale of Ukraine's defenders.”
Biden is defending democracy abroad while Republicans undermine his message at home. These are perilous times.

Yet he lets a Chinese spy balloon traverse our air space. The Biden clown show isn't defending anything except inflation, weakening of our own military, and letting our border be overrun by murderers, drug mules, and rapists. The perilous times are caused by Biden because he exudes weakness and incompetence backed by a weak and incompetent cabinet.
toomuchbaloney said:That sounds like a Russian perspective...I wonder how and where you developed that line of thinking...

It's all lifted straight from Fox. I just watched some clips from their talking heads and it was deja vu all over again.
Luckily, no one's paying much attention to what the clown brigade "thinks". I believe the stagecrafted messaging was aimed at the Ukrainian people, our NATO allies and Russia.
Even before trump trashed our diplomatic relationships, the US had a really bad reputation for dumping our commitments as soon as our own needs were met. That's going to take a whole lot of work to correct.
Meanwhile, Russia has been riding high on their success in the 2016 election, between getting the Republican Party to scrap its opposition to their annexation of the Crimea, and their evisceration of Clinton, notoriously unsympathetic to Russia.
Putin thought he had it made in the shade when the useful idiot was elected. Unfortunately, he believed his own propaganda about Biden and thought he could continue his bullying.
Surprise!

In your opinion... do you inform that opinion with the lies of Fox news? Because your appraisal seems to be in conflict with the actual thinking in Europe since Trump lost the 2020 election
I bet that's what the propaganda from Fox News or right wing media must tell you in an effort to keep their conservative consumers angry and certain that liberals are their enemies.
If you are offended by weak and offended cabinets iI'm surprised that you had so little to say about the last cabinet. Or maybe not...

Actual thinking in Europe is fear from NATO that China is going to arm Russia. European incompetence is what brought on their energy shortages. Which Trump warned about during his Presidency. Democrats are just stupid no other way to describe it. Now we see that playing out in Germany where the right wing parties are starting to make gains.
Speaking of Fox News, Jon Stewart had a fascinating discussion on his podcast on the subject of the Dominion defamation suit. Dominion has moved for summary judgement based on documentation that Fox, its CEO and talking heads never believed the Big Lie but chose to broadcast it anyway to protect their ratings.

LOL
Again... you are welcome to your opinion but when it seems to be in conflict with the available data or surveys or analysis it's easy to place that discrepancy at the feet of your preferred media. You disagree because you like the media that gives you the anti-Biden perspective... the pro-Putin perspective... now synonymous with the Fox News perspective. I provided a citation... you provided your feelings and beliefs.
You must have just realized that right wing extremism is on the rise across the globe although it's a mystery as to what you think that Islamic religious governments or the Taliban are if not right wing. Trump's elevation to the presidency was very encouraging for the right wing extremists.

I listened to that this morning. It was instructive.
