Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

That was back in July, but I suppose it does answer the question "what is the Republican plan".
In related news, a Trump appointed judge halts Biden attempt to end "Remain in Mexico" policy.
QuoteA federal judge in Texas paused the Biden administration’s attempt to end the Trump-era “Remain in Mexico” program, which requires some non-Mexican asylum seekers to be sent back to that country to await immigration proceedings.

It's pretty twisted that GOP members of Congress and the Senate are willing to let their constituents suffer so that they can maintain campaign talking points.
If rhe Republicans can't even compromise on the Dreamers, they will continue to obstruct any ideas except for a wall. A big, dumb wall that can never work but it's a kindergarter's version of a solution.

Had to break to you, but the Biden administration has quietly decided that the way is actually a good idea.

I'm curious though on why a wall doesn't make sense as part of a solution? Are you saying physical barriers don't slow down, deter, or stop anyone from accessing an area?
Interested to hear your explanation.

It's pretty twisted that Democrat members of Congress (which includes the Senate, FYI) are willing to forego border security, that they and you have now acknowledged is necessary, in order to pander to what they are hoping will be a new stream of voters for them.

That all seems reasonable to me.
Patholgical liar, or suffering from dementia?.

I think "pathological liar" or "suffering from dementia" are a bit strong of an assessment. But I don't give him a pass for making up stories. It's not okay.

Assuming it's not dementia, it must be the other. Don't forget, he has a decades long history of lying.
This, below, sure sounds like him:
"If you have a pattern of pathological lying, you may:
“It’s a sign when someone consistently tells stories about extreme, abnormal, or unlikely events that they were involved in,” says Dr. Kyle Zrenchik, a therapist in Minnetonka, Minnesota. “Like befriending celebrities, witnessing a kidnapping, winning a major award, or losing both parents during childhood.”
You may be talking with a pathological liar if you notice:

"If you have a pattern of pathological lying, you may:
- lie indiscriminately about a wide range of topics
- tell untruths about minor events
- feel undeterred by the fear of getting caught
- experience a rush when you get away with lying
- continue to lie even when confronted with the truth

- extensive and unrequested details
- colorful, fantastical, dramatic narratives
- repeated changes to the story
- signs of anxiety while talking
- defensiveness when confronted
- dodging questions or providing vague answers

Oh the things that get conservatives riled up in 2022 after 2 years of Trump lying about elections.
You do realize that this describes Trump extremely well, right? The guy you are worried about hasn't tried to overthrow the government and hasn't suggested tossing the constitution aside to elevate himself into political power. The fellow who fits this description without missing a bullet point is the darling of millions of republican voters and an alarming number of republican lawmakers. I'm pretty sure that you voted for him in spite of his obvious struggle with the truth and disqualifying character flaws in 2016. That guy lied about Putin and intelligence reports and a pandemic among about 30k other lies.
Somehow, a Trump voter suggesting that we should be alarmed by your examples is just not compelling at all. Maybe you could find some lies about something important or dangerous to national security to get Biden on the same level with his predecessor who is still trying to unravel our republic.

Yes. It was talked about even during the election how people were forming caravans and there would be a surge. There's no way Biden didn't know about it.
Thanks. I thought it was Beerman talking to me. Not sure how that conclusion happened, but in my defense I had a fever of 101.7 last night. Hopefully it was a good post anyway. LOL
Obviously there's a surge at the Border and obviously it's needs to be dealt with. But really it's not like Biden is sitting up in Delaware ignoring the situation. Obviously his actions aren't pleasing to Republicans and obviously isn't stopping the surge.

Apparently though the administration's focusing on "quality, not quantity in deportations" and deportations are lower.
It's a mess for sure. Again, I'm only reporting what I see and my thoughts about the issue are fluid as time goes on.
Isn't the Republican hypocrisy amazing? The same states that wanted no Covid restrictions the same states that want to deport migrants back to Mexico under Title 42.

I give you credit for realizing it'd be foolish to argue against my assessment that Biden is a pathological liar.
Progress.
