I didn't see any questions either and now I am curious.

I wrote down all the ones I missed and the answers in case the final is comprehensive. He said he will decide that at the end. He said if there was any questions that most people missed, he might throw those out, so that would give me a 90 (A) , maybe better.I will say my prayers tonight.

I am curious. The only person that got an A on the test got 100%? Has he/she taken the class before? Is he/she a genius? Does he/she want a study partner?Last edit by lisabeth on Mar 29, '07

Quote from catzy5I got a 102% on my frist micro test.
my instructor lets us turn in study guides and get 2pts extra credit. She was shocked 3 of us got 100's. She said she never had a class do so well on the first exam.
We have exam next week on 3 really hard chapters hopefully I keep doing as well.
I am not a genius nor have I taken the class before I just work really hard.

It really is your not lying I am one of the psychos attmepting to take those two together, I keep thinking its going to come crashing down on me at any moment, its very very stressful! But if I don't do it this way it will put me an entire year behind on getting to nursing school and at this point I am willing to suck up the 16 weeks and sacrafice any life I have out side of the library to get it over with! I have been working on this since 2004 and I am ready to be moving on.

I always do better when i am busier, I guess because I prioritize and use my time more wisely. We didn't get our first test back yet. We were supposed to get it yesterday but class got cancelled due to bad weather so now I have to wait until tomorrow.

I take them along with statistics, history (almost done), and I also start a nursing skills course in March. IT STINKS!!! I have no life! I also work full time during the day as a graphic designer. And I have a 3-yr old. My husband is my support! He is wonderful. My mom helps out and watches my little girl every other weekend so that helps a lot too.
In March I will be in class Mon-Thur 5:30pm–8:30pm (micro & AP2)
and Sat-Sun 8am-1pm (Nursing Skills)
my Stats is online (no biggie)
So that means Fridays will be my only day off for 8 weeks! The things we do to get into nursing school! It's nuts.
My first two AP2 tests were 88 & 100
My first Micro test was a 91 (which he said is always the hardest and lowest grade)
So, I am somehow doing it...pulling A's in Hist and Stats too.
all this to say..."If you want it bad enough, you'll find a way to do it!"

I do better when busier too I have a strict schedule and stick to it. Most "people" don't understand friends get annoyed with me, but I devout all free time to studying, it won't always be like this 16 weeks isn't long and May isn't that far away.
Feb 15, '07Joined: Jul '05; Posts: 383; Likes: 256I don't think a busy schedule makes me do any better in school, but I do obsess less because I have a broader range of worries. All my free time goes into studying for the science classes, but when I'm doing humanities classes, I can learn enough and let it go.
Tonight we get to see how our disinfectants worked on our Pseudomonas samples. We also have an unknown that we are working with. Mine is from the back of my throat and looks very staphy. Our second exam is next week and I am already feeling ill about it.
Feb 16, '07Joined: Aug '06; Posts: 630; Likes: 93I'm glad I haven't had any school related nightmares yet...although I know they will come. I got a 96% on my first Micro test...not too bad, considering it was the highest grade on the test..one other person also got a 96. I am just happy to knock em' out one at a time. The end is one test closer!

We only had one A in our class for our first test (and it was a 93). The class average was a D. I knew the test would be hard, but she asked some really strange questions (the wording on most of the questions was really odd). We thought the test would have similar questions as our quizes, but they were totally different. I hate having no idea of what to expect on our tests. Then you have no idea of what to focus your studying on. I'm just glad I got an 86 on the test.
