I have to wait until the end of MAY!

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

i called my school yesterday, and was informed that i wouldn't receive an acceptance letter until the end of may. i am slowly sinking into a dark hole. i feel like i need to know now in order for my life to progress at a "normal" rate. i have been looking into other degree programs and am not interested in anything else! i guess i have to wait for another antagonizing month to be over with.

I applied to 3 programs in February and won't hear anything until the middle of June. They admit via lottery and this is my third time applying to one of the programs and the second for another. The third just started taking applications, so it's my first for them.

I'm also on the waiting list for 2 other schools, but likely won't hear from them for a while, either.

I greet the poor mailman at the door every day praying for a letter...

I have to wait until the end of June. The wait sucks. I have been assured by many folks (students, professors...etc) that I will make it into either one of the programs I applied for. But assurances aren't enough. I want that letter in hand. Applied in February...to wait until the end of June.

During this wait I flip-flop on which school I want to got to. With one I would graduate in 2 years with and ADN and be dept free (Way cheaper school). The other choice has me graduating in 2 years with a BSN, but with $20-30 THOUSAND in dept.

Hmm...maybe those acceptance/denial letters will make the decision for me.

In the mean time...the wait is tough.

Best of wishes to all of you!!!

I know how you feel. I have to also wait until june to hear a decision from one of the schools i applied to. Mine is second degree around $30-40K plus $1000/mth for housing but only 1year for the BSN. On the other hand Ive already been accepted to best diploma program(100%NCLEX)(22monhs) only $12K in my area with option to bridge to MS since I already have B.S. Psych. plus free housing(no debt). Im torn between a decision and the time it will take to jump right into working. Good luck 2u!

I have to wait for a phone call for an interview with no gaurentee that I will get one. Ive been waiting 2 months now, and may will be month # 3.

Hang in there.

You are not alone, my friend. My application to my first choice program was due January 31st, and it won't be until the 2nd week of May at the earliest or the last week of May at the latest that I hear anything. I am going CRAZY! The waiting is by far the hardest part. My life is completely on hold, and I can't stand it.

Good luck and know that I feel your pain!

We have to wait until July to find out if we have been accepted into this fall's class. Trade you places.;)

Can she take a 2 for 1? I don't find out until July for an August start! To make matters worst, registration for the Fall Semester have already passed so if I don't get into the program, I will have a lousy schedule next sem.

yeah, I guess things could be alot worse. Although, it would be nice to know when my life will continue. I just hate the unknown. I want to get this over with and get things back to "normal."

Don't feel too bad. If it makes you feel any better, I won't find out until AUGUST!!!! Talk about a long wait. I know what you're going through. My life is pretty much on hold until I know if I get in or not. Everything about what I'm going to be doing, including getting married is on hold. When I got engaged back in October, I wanted to plan for a 2007 wedding, but my parent's couldn't afford it, so then I wanted March of 2008. They said they could afford it then, but my Mom thought it would be a good idea to wait until I graduate nursing school. Well, I didn't like the idea, since I've been with my fiance for over 4 years now (I'm definitely ready to marry him), but in some ways it made sense to wait. So, now at this point, I'm not getting married until March 2009!!!!!! That is of course, if I get accepted for the fall program. So....now that I've ranted enough (LOL), I hope you feel a little better. Good luck to you! I hope you (and everyone else) gets accepted.

Hey guys.. I live in CPark outside of Georgetown. Are you considered a in district status or out of district status? I am wondering how hard it is to get into the ADN program at Temple College. Will they even consider me since I am out of district? Just curious.

thanks
